Symptoms of airway hyperresponsiveness in children

Symptoms of airway hyperresponsiveness in children

If a child develops symptoms of coughing and difficulty breathing without any obvious cause, parents should take their baby to the hospital to check if there is any serious problem. Because most of the symptoms of airway hyperresponsiveness are caused by congenital heredity. Moreover, when many children develop symptoms of airway hyperresponsiveness, parents do not pay special attention. So what are the symptoms of airway hyperresponsiveness in children?

Symptoms of airway hyperresponsiveness in children

Airway hyperresponsiveness refers to chronic airway inflammation that leads to increased responsiveness. Once there is external stimulation, the airway will contract and cause coughing, wheezing, and difficulty breathing. It is most common in chronic bronchitis and bronchial asthma. You can check chest CT and lung function + diastolic test to distinguish whether it is chronic bronchitis or bronchial asthma. Treatment targeting the cause may be more effective.

What to do with childhood asthma

1. Prevent colds. After children catch a cold, bacteria and viruses are easy to multiply and grow, and their immunity decreases, which can easily cause lung infections and asthma. Children with weak constitutions should pay special attention.

2. Prevent cold and heat. Pay attention to temperature. Add clothes, turn on the air conditioner and floor heating in the building, and set the temperature not lower than 25℃. Pay attention to ventilation and light in the room, and get enough sunlight. Don't wear too many clothes to avoid sweating and catching a cold.

3. Prevent the air from being dry. The indoor temperature is high and the moisture is relatively low, which is not good for breathing. You should grow more flowers and plants, add a humidifier, open windows for ventilation, and wear some wet clothes. Feed your baby more boiled water, which will help prevent dry air and avoid lung infections in children.

4. Avoid allergens, irritating odors such as gas, smoke, and paint. Smoking is strictly prohibited. Dust mites, animal fur, mold spores, and foods such as crabs. Do not go out in foggy weather, do not play in crowded supermarkets, and do not wear clothes with feathers inside or use pillows with old cotton wool to avoid inducing or aggravating asthma.

The above are the symptoms of airway hyperresponsiveness. At the same time, some methods on how to prevent asthma are listed. I hope it will be helpful to those who want to understand this disease. Many respiratory diseases in infants are caused by colds and fevers, so extra attention should be paid in the early stages of a child's cold and fever to prevent it from developing in a worse direction. At the same time, avoid going out when the air quality is poor.
