What should I do if my child sprains his hand?

It is normal for children to be active, but if a child accidentally sprains a muscle, parents should pay attention. It’s not a big deal if a child sprains his muscles, but relevant care must be done. Generally, when you sprain a muscle, you can use cold compresses to relieve the pain.

1. What to do if a child sprains his hand

If this happens, there will be no pain and it is considered to be nothing serious. It is recommended that you do not need to be nervous. You should just pay attention to actively massaging your baby. If the child is in obvious pain or has swelling, you can use safflower oil for external application to treat the child. Be sure to pay attention to protecting the child's hands to avoid further injury.

2. What to do if you hurt your tendons

1. Cold compress: After being injured, it is best to apply cold compress to the injured area immediately. This can effectively prevent hematoma and relieve pain. If you cannot apply cold compress immediately, try to apply cold compress within 24 hours after the injury. If the injury has been more than 24 hours, do not apply cold compresses, otherwise, the cold compresses will cause poor blood circulation and make the injured area more swollen. Specific methods of cold compress: You can apply ice cubes or ice water directly to the injured area, or you can use a towel soaked in ice water or wrap ice cubes in a towel and apply it to the injured area. Do not apply cold compress for too long and do not keep it on all the time. Remove it for a short while after applying it to prevent frostbite.

2. Hot compress: After cold compress, apply hot compress to promote blood circulation, which can reduce swelling and relieve pain faster. Hot compress should be applied 24 hours after injury. Never apply hot compress right after injury, otherwise it will cause more swelling of the injured area. Soak a hot towel in hot water or medicinal wine for injuries and sprains, then apply the towel to the injured area. If it gets cold, heat it up again. Repeat this process for more than 15 minutes. It is best to apply hot compress once in the morning, noon and evening, so that you can heal faster. Most people don't use medicinal wine for hot compresses, as that would be a waste of it. Therefore, if you are looking for hot compress with clean water, you should also find some medicated wine for traumatic injuries and apply it to the injured area. After applying the wine, rub it with a little force until it becomes hot. If the swelling does not go away, you can take Zhonghua Dieda Pills, Tianqi Dieda Pills, etc. orally. You can also mix Dali Xiaozhong Pills and other bruises medicines with white wine into a paste and apply it to the injured area.
