Will the baby's temperature rise when teething?

Babies are born without teeth, so they generally cannot eat hard food. However, as the baby grows older, his teeth will gradually grow out. This process is called the process of growing deciduous teeth. The growth of teeth in a baby also indicates that the baby's body has grown to a certain extent, and during the process of teeth growth, some other conditions will occur in the baby's body. But will the baby's body temperature rise when teething?

Will the baby's temperature rise when teething?

Generally speaking, teething in children will not cause their body temperature to rise, but because children's bodies are in a period of rapid development and their basal metabolic rate is high, their body temperature is also high, generally 0.5 degrees higher than that of adults. In addition, it is possible that the baby may have a fever when teething, but this is not absolute. Generally, if the body temperature does not exceed 38.5℃, there is no need to take medicine. Just drink more water and cool down physically. If the body temperature is too high, you need to go to the hospital for treatment.

What to do if your baby has a high temperature

1. Drink more warm water, vegetable juice and fruit juice. Let your baby drink more water and replenish body fluids. This is the most basic method of reducing fever. It is very effective and practical and suitable for all babies with fever.

2. Take a warm water bath. Wipe the whole body with a warm towel. This is a great way to cool down any baby who has a fever. The water temperature should be between 32 and 34 degrees Celsius, and each wiping time should be more than 10 minutes. The key areas to wipe are the skin folds, such as the neck, armpits, elbows, groin, etc.

3. Take a warm water bath. Giving your baby a warm bath can help cool him down. A warm bath is suitable for all babies with a fever.

4. Low temperature chamber method. Place the sick child in an environment with a room temperature of about 24 degrees to allow the body temperature to slowly drop. In order to allow the skin to come into contact with the outside air and help cool down, people need to wear less clothes. If conditions permit, use air conditioning to lower the room temperature.

Usually when a baby is teething, the baby's teeth and gums will feel a little itchy. At this time, the baby may grab something and put it in his mouth and start biting it. At this time, mothers need to stop him. At the same time, mothers can also prepare some utensils for their babies to put in their mouths and bite to relieve the itchiness of the gums.
