Children often complain of headaches

Headache is a very common thing, also for children. Generally, headache is benign or muscle contraction headache, but a few headaches are also caused by brain diseases. If parents find that their children often say that they have a headache and cannot find the cause of the pain, they should take their children to the hospital for examination.

Parents can judge based on the location of the headache, the time of onset, frequency and duration, for example:

1. If the headache is on one side, then the headache is likely to be a vascular headache.

2. If the headache is limited to the area near the eye socket, then such a headache is likely a sign of cerebral aneurysm.

3. If the headache is limited to the forehead, it may be caused by an abnormality of the pituitary gland.

4. If the headache is limited to the back of the head, it may be a sign of a posterior brain tumor.

5. If the location of the headache is uncertain, it is often a manifestation of a psychogenic headache.

6. If headache symptoms occur in the early morning, it may be caused by sinusitis or a brain tumor.

7. If the headache symptoms occur in the afternoon: it is often a manifestation of a tension headache.

8. If headache symptoms occur in the middle of the night, it is likely caused by organic intracranial disease.

9. If the headache symptoms only last for a few seconds to a few minutes, it is caused by neuralgia.

10. If the headache symptoms last for several hours to dozens of hours, it is often a manifestation of vascular headache.

11. If the headache persists and tends to gradually worsen, it may be a sign of a brain tumor.
