Can newborns light mosquito coils?

Can newborns light mosquito coils?

We all know that there are a lot of mosquitoes in the summer, especially for some newborns. Mosquitoes bite them because their skin is relatively tender. However, after being bitten by mosquitoes, newborns will cry when they feel itchy. Therefore, some mothers will want to light some mosquito coils for their babies in the house to drive away mosquitoes. However, the smell of mosquito coils is quite pungent. So can newborns light mosquito coils?

Mosquitoes can spread dysentery, Japanese encephalitis, hepatitis and many other diseases. It is important to maintain a clean environment around the residence and the baby's room, and to do a good job of mosquito control and prevention. The main ingredient of mosquito coils is insecticide, usually pyrethroids, which are less toxic. However, some mosquito coils are made of organochlorine pesticides, organophosphorus pesticides, carbamate pesticides, etc. Although these mosquito coils have enhanced mosquito repellent effects, their toxicity is relatively much greater. Generally speaking, mosquito coils should not be used in the baby's room.

Electric mosquito coils are less toxic, but because infants and young children have vigorous metabolism and strong skin absorption capacity, the use of electric mosquito coils is harmful to children's health. It is best not to use them frequently. If you must use them, place them in a well-ventilated place and avoid using them for a long time.

It is absolutely forbidden to spray insecticide in the baby's room. If an infant inhales excessive amounts of pesticides, he or she will experience acute hemolytic reactions and organ hypoxia, and in severe cases, it may lead to heart failure, organ damage, or conversion to aplastic anemia.

It can be seen from this that lighting mosquito coils in summer will have an impact on babies, but what should you do if mosquitoes bite your baby without lighting mosquito coils? Moreover, the baby's skin is very delicate, and once bitten, a big bump will appear that will not go away for many days. At present, the only method I can think of is to use mosquito nets and fans to drive away mosquitoes. If you have any other better methods, please remember to share them with everyone.
