Is urobilinogen I jaundice?

When talking about jaundice, many people will immediately think of jaundice in newborns. In fact, many adults also have jaundice. Jaundice in adults is generally caused by some bad living habits and some diseases. When adults suffer from jaundice, they will experience vomiting and drowsiness, and their legs, abdomen, chest and other parts will turn yellow. When adults suffer from jaundice, they must receive timely treatment.

Is urobilinogen I jaundice?

Urobilinogen +1 is caused by the concentration of urobilinogen in urine. Urobilinogen is converted from bilirubin, so when the bilirubin level in the blood increases, jaundice will appear. If the excretion is not blocked, the urobilinogen level will also increase.

Urine bilirubin+

- As the ability of hepatocytes to absorb unconjugated bilirubin in plasma decreases, its concentration in the blood increases. The conjugated bilirubin produced may diffuse between swollen and necrotic hepatocytes through the blood sinusoids and enter the blood circulation due to swelling of hepatocytes and compression of capillary bile ducts, resulting in an increase in conjugated bilirubin in the blood. Because it is soluble in water and excreted through the kidneys, the urine bilirubin test is positive.

In addition, fecal bilirubin absorbed through the intestine cannot be converted into bilirubin due to damage to liver cells, and is excreted in the urine in the form of urobilinogen. Therefore, both urine bilirubin and urobilinogen are clearly positive in hepatocellular jaundice. In acute viral hepatitis, positive urine bilirubin may precede clinical jaundice. Similar results may occur with hepatocellular jaundice caused by other reasons, such as toxic hepatitis caused by drugs or poisons.

Precautions for jaundice in adults

1. During the treatment, you must maintain a good attitude and remember not to get angry, as that will make the condition unstable and may become more serious.

2. Be sure not to eat any greasy food. Don't think of it as a tonic, as that will only make the condition worse. Jaundice will affect the liver, and greasy food will increase the burden on the liver. Remember this.

3. Eat some porridge, steamed buns, and other digestible food every day. Don’t eat hard food and try to eat liquid food. Don't eat fried dough sticks or soy milk as they can cause bloating. You must drink plenty of water. If you want the jaundice to go away quickly, drink some millet porridge and eat some steamed buns every day. Don't eat salty food. Eat small meals frequently. Because jaundice involves the liver, it is not conducive to detoxification, so you can't eat too much.
