Can a six-month-old baby with eye mucus be given an anti-inflammatory injection?

Eye mucus is quite common in our lives, especially when we wake up in the morning every day. If we can't wake up, we will feel that there is a lot of eye mucus in our eyes and we can't open our eyes. Sometimes, excessive use of the eyes and discomfort in the eyes can also easily cause eye mucus. Many babies are prone to eye mucus when they are young, and they dare not use their hands to pick it out for the baby for fear of hurting the baby's eyes. So, can a six-month-old baby with eye mucus take an anti-inflammatory injection?

If the baby has a high fever, it is usually caused by inflammation. If you don't give the baby an anti-inflammatory injection, the fever won't go down. If it's not a high fever, it's generally not recommended to give the baby an anti-inflammatory injection. You can help the baby cool down physically. Drink more water, use 75% alcohol to get a cotton swab dipped in water and alcohol to wipe some alcohol on both sides of the baby's armpits and neck. It can have a good cooling effect. If the fever is above 38 degrees, you can take antipyretics, such as aminocaproic acid oral solution plus the anti-inflammatory drug cephalexin. If the fever is above 39 degrees, you need to take Motrin.

Eye mucus is a greasy secretion from the eyes, which is generally a light yellow viscous liquid and becomes resinous after solidification. There is a cartilage-like thing in our eyelids called "tarsal plate", in which many meibomian glands are arranged neatly and orderly. The gland openings are at the edge of the eyelids, close to the eyelashes. The meibomian glands will secrete a liquid like oil continuously. During the day, these oils are applied to the edges of the eyelids through blinking, which protects the eyes. It can prevent lubricating eye mucus from flowing out of the eye, and it can prevent sweat from entering the eye. However, when people sleep, their eyes are closed for a long time, but oil is still being secreted. The accumulated oil mixes with the dust that enters the eyes during the day and impurities in the tears, and runs to the corners of the eyes to form eye boogers.

Everyone has a small amount of normal eye mucus, it is not a disease. But if the amount of eye mucus suddenly increases, it is most likely caused by getting angry, especially in autumn and winter. The climate is dry in autumn and winter, and the human body is prone to dehydration, which can cause inflammation and increased eye mucus. However, it should be noted that if the amount of eye mucus suddenly increases and is pink or red in color, it may be caused by eye diseases such as conjunctivitis and trachoma.

If the increase in eye mucus is caused by getting angry, you can just eat more vegetables and fruits and drink more water. You can also drink Chinese medicine tea such as Chen Zhiqian Chrysanthemum and Wolfberry Tea regularly, which can have a good preventive and therapeutic effect. In addition, you should prevent office eye diseases, pay attention to the combination of work and rest, and try not to face the computer for a long time. After working for an hour or two, you can take a break and look at some green plants to relax your eyes. Also, don't sit too close to the computer when using it. If your eyes feel dry and uncomfortable, try to blink more often to reduce the evaporation of water in your eyes.
