What should I do if my primary school students are already nearsighted?

There are many solutions to children's myopia problem. For example, with the development of technology, surgery can be performed in many places. Although myopia surgery costs a lot of money, many parents still take their children to have such surgery. Here we remind everyone that the current myopia surgery is not yet fully mature, and many surgeries are risky, so it is recommended to choose a safer and more effective solution.

one. Diagnosis of myopia

Identify pseudomyopia. Pseudomyopia is mainly caused by visual fatigue due to excessive academic pressure during school. If children do not pay attention to rest and protection, pseudomyopia will continue to deepen. It is worth noting that pseudomyopia can be restored through conditioning and correction, but if the wrong method is taken, it will lead to true myopia in children! The eye structure is not fully developed before the age of seventeen or eighteen, especially during elementary school. Everything is changing. In addition to genetic factors, excessive use of the eyes and incorrect eye habits cause children's vision to deteriorate. This so-called "myopia" is mostly false. In this case, you should go to a regular institution for a visual function test, confirm the myopia, and get a reasonable glasses plan.

Increase accommodation sensitivity: look close for 30 to 40 minutes, then look into the distance for a few minutes to give the ciliary muscles a proper rest. Participate in outdoor activities or sports for 1 hour every day. Table tennis is beneficial for enhancing the sensitivity of accommodation. Some accommodation trainers can improve the sensitivity of the lens in focusing and seeing far away, thereby improving naked eye vision, and can also achieve this effect.

Strengthen the correction of children's frame displacement: the lens must be kept 12 mm in front of the eyes and at an angle of 8 to 10 degrees. Any deformation or displacement of the frame will cause the optical center of the lens to deviate from the visual axis, causing paracenter defocus. Therefore, please do not use glasses frames that are excessively deformed. If this occurs, please replace and correct it in time.

Always maintain a good sitting and writing posture: Children should sit in the correct posture. When holding a pen to write, the finger should be about 3 cm away from the tip of the pen. The thumb should be placed on the middle finger, exposing the pen shaft so that the tip of the pen can be seen. The thumb should not touch the index finger, otherwise it will easily block the tip of the pen. The head must be tilted downward and close to the book, causing the focus to defocus backwards.
