Red spots on the child's face

Red spots on the child's face

Children's facial skin needs special care because their skin is relatively thin and any changes in the external environment may cause problems with their facial skin. If small red spots appear on a child's face, parents should not apply medicine on the child's face casually. Instead, they should take the child to the hospital for examination to see what caused the problem. So, what is the reason for the red spots on the child's face?

1. If these red colors do not fade, the possibility of bleeding spots should be considered. Generally, there are two possibilities: one is simple subcutaneous bleeding spots, and the other is purpura. The latter can be divided into allergic purpura or thrombocytopenic type, etc.

2. If the symptoms are caused by allergies, you can consider appropriate supplementation of calcium and vitamin C for conditioning, and at the same time take cetirizine hydrochloride tablets for conditioning. Please follow your doctor's advice for specific dosage.

3. If the bleeding spots only occur around the eyes and not in other parts, it is mostly because the child is young and the capillaries are relatively fragile. When encountering factors that increase the pressure on the internal organs, the blood vessels rupture and bleeding occurs under the skin. The triggers include crying, coughing, standing upside down, strenuous activities, etc.

4. If the bleeding only occurs on the skin around the eyes, you generally don’t need to worry about it. In most cases, it will be naturally absorbed and disappear after a few months. This is not a disease.

6. Do not drink alcohol, eat less hot foods such as peppers and mutton, and eat more foods rich in vitamin C such as kiwis and tomatoes, which have a certain therapeutic effect;

7. If the bleeding spots occur on many parts of the body besides the face and eyes, you should consider hemorrhagic diseases such as purpura. It is recommended to go to the dermatology department of the local hospital for examination, four coagulation tests, and antibody tests, etc., to confirm the condition and then receive targeted treatment;

8. If you suspect purpura, you should see a doctor immediately. This disease can be mild or severe. Different types of purpura have different causes and treatments, and the prognosis is also very different. For example, some allergic purpura only causes physical weakness, while some types of purpura may be life-threatening.

9. Regardless of the type of bleeding spots, try to avoid strenuous exercise to prevent capillary rupture and worsening of the condition; especially for those suspected of purpura, they must rest at home and take a leave of absence from school if necessary.
