How to treat children's cough

Coughing is a very common lung disease in children during their growth process. There are many reasons why children cough, which is generally due to seasonal changes or hot and cold air. When the bacteria from the outside air invade, it can easily lead to this situation. Children need to be treated in time when they have a cough. It can be treated through diet therapy and give children more foods that reduce heat.

Especially when the seasons change, colds are easy to strike, especially for children with weaker constitutions. When taking care of their children who have caught a cold, many parents often find that after treatment, the children no longer have a runny nose, fever or headache, but they still cough from time to time, and the phlegm is not easy to expel. Children who can talk will express discomfort such as dry throat. These conditions are often not very effective after taking medicine or infusion treatment. So is there any way to make a child's cough get better faster? Here are some dietary therapy recipes that do not require medication and are very effective for children's coughs.

1. Stewed mushrooms with pear juice

Ingredients: Winter mushrooms contain double-stranded sugar nucleic acid, which can produce interferon in the human body and thus eliminate viruses in the body; and pears are good for moistening the lungs, cooling the heart, eliminating phlegm and reducing internal heat; they can prevent and treat dry coughs in autumn and winter; the effect can usually be seen in two or three days.

Preparation method: Peel the pears (it is best to choose duck pears with thick skin), slice them and squeeze them into juice. Wash and slice the mushrooms, then add appropriate amount of water and rock sugar and stew them together. After they are cooked, you can eat them with the soup twice a day in the morning and evening. It is simple, convenient, nutritious and delicious.

2. Boil radish water

This is especially true for cases where the cough does not improve for many days and there is difficulty falling asleep at night.

Preparation method: Slice the white radish and boil it in water. After it is cooked, filter out the water with a teacup or small bowl, drink it after it becomes warm, and the cough will be reduced. Drink it for a few days in a row and your cough will be cured.

3. Cough Soup

Ingredients: Monk fruit, Fritillaria cirrhosa, fruit peel, loquat leaves, braised chicken with lean meat

Preparation method: add a quarter of monk fruit and a palm-sized amount of lean meat, put the ingredients in a sand pot for children to stew rice or soup, then fill it with water, simmer on low heat for two hours and it is ready to eat.

4. Radish and honey drink

Ingredients: 3 slices of ginger, 30 grams of honey, 5 slices of white radish, and 3 dates.

Preparation method: Add appropriate amount of water to ginger, radish and jujube, then boil for about 30 minutes, filter out the residue, add honey, and boil again. 1 to 2 times a day. It is suitable for treating cough due to cold, cough caused by common cold, and cough due to long-term treatment or recurring cough in children. However, it is not suitable for treating cough due to wind-heat with fever and yellow sputum.

5. Lily and Coltsfoot Flower Drink

Ingredients: 10-15 grams of coltsfoot, 30-60 grams of lily, and appropriate amount of rock sugar.

Preparation method: Put the above ingredients in a casserole and cook into sugar water. Drink water and eat lilies, preferably after dinner and before going to bed. It is suitable for autumn and winter coughs with a little phlegm. It is not as effective for bronchial asthma or spasmodic bronchitis, but can be used as an auxiliary treatment.
