Does mugwort have any effect on babies?

When mugwort grows, it looks like a straight pole with many long and thin leaves growing on it. It is not very tall, about one meter. Every year during the Dragon Boat Festival, we can see mugwort inserted on the lintels of every house, which is said to remove germs and make us healthier. There are many derivative products of mugwort, such as moxibustion, mugwort foot patches, etc. We can buy these products. Does using mugwort have any effect on babies?

Modern medical pharmacological research shows that mugwort is a broad-spectrum antibacterial and antiviral drug. It has inhibitory and killing effects on many viruses and bacteria, and has a certain preventive and therapeutic effect on respiratory diseases.

It would be great if these effects could be used to deal with some problems that babies encounter in their daily lives, or to prevent some common sexual diseases.

Wormwood mosquito repellent

Mugwort has a natural aroma that can effectively repel mosquitoes. There will be a lot of mosquitoes in summer. The mosquito repellent products sold on the market now contain additives, which will definitely have an impact on the baby's health. It is better to use pure natural mugwort as mosquito coils, which is safe and effective.

You can light mugwort or moxa sticks every night, and the smoke it emits can quickly drive away mosquitoes. Or you can use mugwort water to mop the floor and leave its smell in the room, which can also act as a mosquito repellent.

Hanging a dried moxa stick in the room can also help repel mosquitoes, moths and insects.

Mugwort bath

Mugwort can regulate qi and blood, expel cold and dampness, and prevent colds. If babies' resistance is not strong or when the seasons change, you can bathe them with mugwort to enhance their resistance.

Take about 50 grams of fresh or dried mugwort, soak it in boiling water for 10 minutes until its medicinal effect is fully released, then adjust the water temperature to bathe your babies.

Bathing with mugwort is not only effective in preventing and treating colds, but also has a good therapeutic effect on eczema and folliculitis that babies often suffer from in the summer.

Drinking mugwort soup

Many people boil mugwort into soup or make it into food for their babies, which also has many benefits.

You can directly use fresh mugwort to make soup, add some brown sugar or white sugar and then eat it. It is effective for some common problems of babies, such as removing dampness, dispelling cold, stopping bleeding, reducing inflammation, relieving asthma, relieving cough, and anti-allergic.

You can also use mugwort to make food for consumption, such as mugwort green balls, mugwort boiled eggs (highly recommended), mugwort dumplings, mugwort fried rice, etc.
