Children's hands and feet allergies

Children's hands and feet allergies

Allergies are actually very common, but some people do not react strongly to allergens. As long as the allergens are removed in time, the allergic symptoms will disappear. On the contrary, some people react very strongly to allergens, and any contact must be suppressed with medication. Children's immunity is not as good as ours, and their allergic reactions are serious. What should you do if your child has allergic reactions in his hands and feet?

If a child's skin is allergic and swollen, you can also apply ointment such as Fuqingsong on the baby.

There is no consensus on the exact meaning of sensitive skin. It is generally believed that sensitive skin is a highly intolerant skin condition, a multifactorial syndrome that is easily irritated by various factors and produces subjective symptoms such as stinging, burning, tightness, itching, etc. The skin appearance is normal or accompanied by mild desquamation, erythema and dryness.

Sensitive skin and "skin allergy" are two different concepts. Skin allergy is an allergic reaction. When the allergen enters the body, it prompts the body to produce corresponding antibodies, triggering an antigen-antibody reaction, which manifests as clinical objective signs such as erythema, papules, and wheals, often accompanied by itching. Sensitive skin usually has reduced tolerance to stimuli and exhibits a series of abnormal sensory reactions, most of which lack objective signs. Although its occurrence mechanism is not very clear, it is generally believed that it is not accompanied by immune or allergic mechanisms.

Causes

The cause of sensitive skin is not fully understood but is the result of multiple factors. It can be divided into endogenous factors such as race, age, gender, genetics, endocrine factors, certain diseases, etc., and exogenous factors such as chemical stimulation, environmental factors, lifestyle, psychological factors, etc.

1. Endogenous factors

(1) Race: Different races have different numbers of stratum corneum, intercellular adhesion, amount and volume of melanin, etc., which leads to differences in skin sensitivity.

(2) Young people are more likely to have skin sensitivity than the elderly, which may be due to the decline in sensory nerve function and reduced nerve distribution in the skin of the elderly.

(3) Gender: Generally speaking, women are more sensitive to skin irritation than men, probably because women’s skin has a higher pH value and is less able to buffer irritation.

(4) Most individuals with genetically sensitive skin have a family history of sensitive skin.

(5) Endocrine factors: The menstrual cycle can affect skin sensitivity.

(6) Diseases Certain skin diseases can increase skin sensitivity, such as atopic dermatitis, seborrheic dermatitis, ichthyosis, etc.

2. Exogenous factors

(1) Chemical factors such as cosmetics, soaps, detergents, etc.

(2) Environmental factors such as cold, heat and rapid changes in temperature, seasonal changes, air pollution, sunlight, etc.

(3) Lifestyle: Spicy and stimulating food and alcohol can aggravate skin reactions.

(4) Psychological factors such as increased stress and emotional instability often stimulate or aggravate skin reactions.
