Baby allergic symptoms to goat milk powder

Baby allergic symptoms to goat milk powder

Babies are in the most critical period of life when they are young. At this stage, the baby's immune system has not yet fully developed, but is in great need of nutrition. If the baby has an allergy or a cold at this time, it is very likely that he will die. Some parents say that their babies will develop small lumps after drinking goat milk, and they are particularly afraid that their babies are allergic to goat milk. So what are the main symptoms of babies being allergic to goat milk?

Goat milk is the baby drink that is closest to breast milk and generally does not cause allergies, but it still depends on a person's constitution.

Protein allergy is mainly caused by certain substances in food (usually proteins) entering the body and being mistaken for invading pathogens by the immune system. The immune system then releases a specific type of immunoglobulin E, which combines with food to produce many chemical substances, causing allergic symptoms such as skin redness and swelling, frequent diarrhea, indigestion, headache, sore throat, and asthma. Allergies to variant proteins are relatively rare. Generally speaking, it is more common that high-protein foods such as eggs, dairy products, and seafood can easily mutate due to hot weather and cause allergies.

If you have a protein allergy, you should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment as soon as possible. Delaying the treatment may cause chronic diseases such as arthritis, depression, hypertension, dementia, diabetes, etc.

Infant milk powder allergy means that the baby has an allergic reaction after drinking formula milk. The allergen is usually milk protein, and the symptoms appear on the skin.

Certain proteins in milk, such as α-s1 casein and β-lactoglobulin, are currently recognized allergens.

Under normal circumstances, if these two proteins can be digested and absorbed by the human body, they will not cause allergic reactions. However, in the first few months after birth, if the baby's digestive ability is insufficient and the enzyme system for digesting protein is immature, the protein that enters the body is not fully broken down and absorbed into the blood. In addition, the baby lacks the protective antibody distributed on the surface of the intestinal mucosa - secretory immunoglobulin A. The lack of such antibodies can cause intestinal bacteria to cause inflammation on the mucosal surface, which accelerates the intestinal mucosa's absorption of foreign proteins and induces gastrointestinal allergic reactions.

People with allergic constitution are generally those who are prone to allergic reactions and allergic diseases but cannot find the cause of the disease.

When a child has an allergic constitution, he or she will be more likely to develop allergic diseases, including eczema, allergic rhinitis, bronchial asthma, etc. You may also be allergic to other specific substances, such as metal allergy, pollen allergy, drug allergy, etc. However, occasional high reactivity to a known factor cannot be called "allergic constitution."
