Can myopia among middle school students be cured?

As the academic pressure on today's middle school students is increasing, the degree of eye use is also constantly increasing, so more and more people are suffering from myopia. So if a middle school student unfortunately also develops myopia, what are the factors that cause it? Is it possible to correct it? Today we will answer such questions for you and tell you good ways to change myopia and restore vision.

Restoring myopia starts from the root cause!

1. Genetic factors

It is generally recognized that myopia has a certain genetic tendency, especially for high myopia. Those with genetic factors develop the disease at an earlier age, and the degree of myopia is mostly over 600 degrees. High myopia is an autosomal recessive inheritance, and general myopia is a multifactorial genetic disease.

2. Developmental factors

Babies are all farsighted because of their small eyeballs. As they grow older, their eye axes gradually lengthen and develop normally after the age of 6. If they develop excessively, they will develop myopia, which is generally less than 600 degrees. If the disease progresses rapidly in childhood and even more rapidly at the age of 15-20, myopia is often higher than 600 degrees, and can reach 2000-2500 or 3000 degrees. This type of myopia is called high myopia, progressive myopia or pathological myopia. But a very small number of people have congenital myopia and are born with it.

3. Eye factors

Not paying attention to the distance and posture when reading, not paying attention to the reading time, insufficient lighting, not bright enough, or reading and writing for several hours without rest, will cause excessive eye strain. In this state, the ciliary muscles will continue to contract for a long time, first forming accommodation spasm and visual fatigue, and then further develop into myopia.

4. Dietary nutritional factors

Unscientific diet is also one of the causes of myopia. Children and adolescents who are in the growth and development period must pay attention to eating less sweets.

Myopia is divided into pseudomyopia and non-pseudomyopia (true myopia)

The former can be treated through hot compresses, massage, or the simplest way is to go to the hospital, buy mydriatic solution and have a good rest.

But the latter is not the case. True myopia means that your eyeball has been compressed and deformed. There is only one way to treat it with current medical treatment, which is laser surgery.
