When is a boy's rebellious period?

Both boys and girls will become rebellious during adolescence. In comparison, boys' rebellion is usually more serious than girls'. Many parents lack the relevant experience and knowledge in educating their children, so when faced with their children's rebelliousness, their solutions tend to be violent. This is definitely wrong. First of all, parents should look at their children's rebellious problems objectively. In addition, many methods can be taken to help improve the situation. So when does a child's rebellious period generally occur?

When is a boy's rebellious period?

Generally speaking, a person has three rebellious periods in his life. The rebellious behavior that appears at the age of two is a manifestation of the first rebellious period in life, called the "baby rebellious period"; around the age of seven, it is the second rebellious period in life, called the "childhood rebellious period"; between the ages of 12 and 18, it is the third rebellious period in life, which is the most common and well-known "youth rebellious period." Different rebellious periods have different characteristics of personality development and psychological and physiological development.

The definition of rebellious period is when a child becomes rebellious, or when he starts to rebel, rather than saying that the child will stop being rebellious after a rebellious period. For example, the third rebellious period is usually 12-18 years old, which means that within this age range, children are likely to rebel, and it is normal. It does not mean that the child's rebelliousness will stop after the age of 18.

What will happen to teenagers' rebellion? This is closely related to how parents educate their children about rebellion. Some parents teach well, and the children may just be rebellious for a short period of time and then it will pass quickly. Some parents do not teach well, and it may even intensify the children's rebelliousness, and the children may even rebel for their entire lives.

First of all, boys who are in the rebellious period will become very irritable. They think that everything their parents do is against their wishes. They often appear helpless, anxious, lonely, etc., and feel that no one can understand their inner world, so parents must first understand this situation of their children.

Secondly, boys in their rebellious period will gradually become less clingy to their parents than when they were children. Instead, they will often look for their own space to vent and express themselves. Therefore, as parents, we should not feel resentful that our children are not as sensible as they were when they were children. We should care more about our children and take the initiative to communicate with them.

Children who are in their rebellious period often act cynical and feel that this environment and this society do not belong to them. They always behave in ways that their parents and family members cannot understand, such as dyeing their hair various colors, speaking words that only their peers can understand, etc. Parents should not always speak to them in a complaining and critical tone, but should learn to communicate and explain to their children correctly.

Another thing is that adults think that children of this age always disappoint adults because they will not care about all the family rules and school rules, because they think they have grown up and have their own ideas and opinions. They don’t want to be controlled by someone and don’t want to obey anyone including their parents. All of this makes parents feel very anxious, but as parents, they can’t just be anxious but must learn to be considerate and tolerant of them.
