3 month old baby sleep

3 month old baby sleep

We all know that when babies grow to three months old, the sleep of many babies has become very stable, but some babies will still wake up constantly at night and cry constantly. The baby's night thinking is probably because the baby is hungry or the baby has urinated. However, during the baby's sleep, mothers still have some precautions. Try not to use pillows for babies. So what is the sleep quality of three-month-old babies?

·Don't sleep with nipples or pacifiers in mouth

Some children cannot fall asleep without sucking on their mother's nipple or pacifier. In this way, the child will subconsciously suck the nipple or pacifier every time he wakes up. This overly frequent eating habit can easily cause gastrointestinal dysfunction in children. Secondly, after the child falls asleep, his mouth is still "blocked" by the nipple, which makes it easy for him to have difficulty breathing, resulting in poor sleep quality and may even cause suffocation. In addition, this bad habit may also affect the normal development of children's gums and oral hygiene.

The environment should not be too quiet

Children usually begin to consciously develop the ability to "resist interference" when they are 3 to 4 months old. However, studies have shown that about 30% of babies have not learned to "resist disturbance" - they often find it difficult to fall asleep or are awakened from a deep sleep at the slightest disturbance. In fact, babies will fall asleep in the natural background of "household noise", and parents do not need to walk on tiptoe in the room or dare to make any slight noise. Otherwise, the child is likely to develop bad sleeping habits: he can only fall asleep in an artificially and deliberately "extremely" quiet environment, which is hard to find in reality.

The quilt should not be too thick

In order to make their children sleep warmly in the cold winter, some parents cover their children with thick quilts, but they do not know that quilts that are too thick are often too heavy and may even cause breathing difficulties. Moreover, the excessively high temperature in the quilt will make the child irritable and even cry, which will also affect his or her sleep quality. Letting children sleep in an overly warm environment from an early age may also reduce the body's resistance to cold, causing the children to be "fragile" when they grow up.

It is not advisable to fall asleep while humming

It is natural, beautiful and sweet for a child to fall asleep to the sound of his mother's lullaby, but it is not advisable to let the child get used to the fact that he can only fall asleep peacefully when hearing humming. A good sleeping habit that children must develop is to fall asleep on their own in a "natural" way and to fall asleep again "naturally" after waking up, rather than relying on "artificial" methods such as rocking, humming or feeding to help them fall asleep peacefully.

·Don’t sleep too long during the day

Children who sleep too long during the day usually don’t sleep well at night. They may even cry and make a fuss if they are not satisfied, keeping their parents awake at night. Studies have confirmed that children who do not get enough sleep at night and are sleepy during the day not only grow and develop more slowly, but also have relatively poor attention, memory, creativity and motor skills. In addition, lack of sleep at night will disrupt the normal secretion of growth hormone, causing damage to the immune system, endocrine disorders, metabolic problems, and easy weight gain. If the baby sleeps too much during the day, parents can consciously wake the child up or play with him for a while longer to overcome the "day and night reversal" through adjustments.
