Causes and precautions for children's mouth ulcers

Causes and precautions for children's mouth ulcers

If a child has mouth ulcers, he may have oral ulcer disease. The incidence rate of this disease among children is about 10%, which is actually very common. Parents need to note that although mouth ulcers in children are easy to cure, they often recur, causing more serious mucosal damage. Children's mouth ulcers are self-healing, and the affected areas are concentrated in the lips, tongue, throat mucosa and other parts. A small number of children with mouth ulcers may have a long course of illness, and the area of ulcers is relatively large, and the number of ulcers will continue to increase. Such children with mouth ulcers should be actively treated.

Some children's mouth ulcers may be due to recurrent pediatric oral ulcer disease, which is the most common disease of oral mucosal diseases. It recurs but is self-limited, and manifests locally as isolated, round or oval ulcers.

The reason why children get mouth ulcers may be caused by abrasions, punctures, bacterial infections, etc. This type of ulcer is one-time and relatively easy to cure. Generally, applying some medicine will cure it in about 3 or 4 days, and it will not recur.

It may also be due to a lack of vitamin B in the body. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that children's mouth ulcers may be caused by excessive accumulation of cold and heat in the body. After children develop oral ulcers, in addition to oral cleaning and care, drug treatment is indispensable. Now I would like to introduce a simple drug treatment method: take 1 tablet of vitamin C.

There are some home remedies that can be used to treat children's mouth ulcers, such as beating eggs into a paste in a bowl, then boiling mung beans in water, cooking the mung beans until they are 70% to 80% cooked, and then mixing the paste with the eggs and drinking it. Use it once every morning and evening. This method has a therapeutic effect on children's mouth ulcers. If the condition is serious, you need to go to the hospital for a thorough examination and then take medication on time and in the right amount.
