What medicine should children take for hollow cough

In fact, there are many reasons why children cough, but most of the time, cough is caused by typhoid and cold. In addition to children's coughs caused by colds caused by typhoid fever, many children have a relatively fragile body and cannot adapt to changes in weather, which leads to heat accumulation in the chest cavity and causes coughing. This cough symptom is also called a cavity cough. If you want to treat this symptom, it should be distinguished from the general cough treatment countermeasures. So what is the treatment countermeasure for baby's cavity cough?

In clinical practice, we often see many children who cannot adapt to sudden changes in climate and suffer from repeated colds and coughs. These children have poor adaptability to the external environment, weak resistance, and are particularly susceptible to various pathogenic factors. In addition to the fact that children are in an immature stage of growth and development, it is also because most of these children prefer sweets and greasy food. In addition, the room temperature is too warm, or they are too pampered, wearing fur clothes and quilts, which affects the children's ability to dissipate heat on their own, resulting in a physique of heat accumulation in the lungs and stomach. Such children are prone to crying, flushed cheeks, and restless sleep. If you are exposed to cold wind at night, you will experience symptoms such as fever, runny nose, cough, sore throat, and difficulty coughing up phlegm. Some children, due to improper diet and excessive consumption of cold drinks and ice food, gradually develop anorexia which is caused by the cold damaging the spleen. Due to long-term loss of appetite, weak spleen and stomach, weakened digestion and absorption functions, nutrition cannot meet the body's needs, which reduces resistance. At this time, if affected by external wind and cold, it is easy to cause a cold. The disease recurs repeatedly, often with nasal congestion, runny nose, cough and excessive sputum. Treatment with anti-inflammatory drugs and cough suppressants and expectorants is ineffective, resulting in a prolonged course of the disease. It can be seen that it is very important for parents to feed their children properly.

For children with colds and coughs, parents should pay attention to the following points:

First of all, during the influenza epidemic season, children with fever, colds and coughs should have a longer course of illness. After diagnosis and treatment by the doctor, they should take medicine and receive care at home according to the doctor's instructions. Do not take your child to the hospital repeatedly because of a persistent fever, which increases the chance of repeated infection.

Secondly, in the early stages of a child's cold, when the condition is not serious, you can first give him some children's cold medicine; when the fever reaches above 38.5℃, take antipyretics in time, try to rest quietly, and drink plenty of water. When the condition worsens, you should go to the hospital for treatment in time. It is not advisable to handle it by yourself at this time, especially do not take adult medicines casually.

In addition, it is very important for parents to take good care of their children. If a child cannot sleep, there is no need to force him or her, he or she can sit and play. Children with vomiting and diarrhea should be given liquid food on the first day. For children with common fever and cough, they should eat delicious, light and nutritious food. In winter, they must be given hot food. Noodles and rice soup are good. Fever and sweating consume a lot of body fluids, so you should drink more water and juice, and eat more fruits. Do not bathe your child when he is sick, because bathing will increase blood circulation, which is not good for rest and will cause the child to catch a cold again. Children with a lot of phlegm will indeed increase their secretions after taking a bath, but this can only be done after a week of illness, when they have a slight cough in the morning, have a good appetite, can play, and have no fever. Then they can take a bath before going to bed. If you sleep well, you can wash it every other day.

There are several methods of treating coughs by boiling pears and rock sugar in water: one is to boil pears, almonds and rock sugar in water to treat wind-heat cough; one is to boil pears, orange peel, white radish and brown sugar in water to treat wind-cold cough; one is to boil pears, Fritillaria cirrhosa and rock sugar in water to treat dry cough, long-term cough and little sputum. Both have certain therapeutic effects.
