The importance of children's independence

The importance of children's independence

For parents, the task of educating and raising children is quite heavy. Especially when children are young, parents must pay attention to cultivating their independence and independent personality, which is very important for their children's lives. In this regard, parents must set an example themselves. First of all, they should set a good example for their children, give their children enough space to develop their own abilities, etc. Let us briefly understand this aspect.

The importance of children's independence

I believe that every parent hopes that their children can be responsible, think independently, and be independent. This requires that he be trained from an early age to face facts and solve problems on his own. Many parents of teenagers lament that their children are irresponsible and do not understand the hard work of their parents and family members. These concepts and habits must be cultivated and trained early in order to create independent individuals in the future.

First of all, parents must return the decision-making power to their children and trust that their children are capable of being their own masters. No matter who they are, they must walk their own way. Instead of staring at their children nervously all day long and interfering with what they do, it is better to let them do it themselves, and parents will feel more relaxed. Just like attending cram schools or after-school classes, most parents have a say in everything. After all, I pay and you spend, so you just have to listen to me and you can't have any opinions. In the end, the children complained and came up with a killer solution - "I just won't go", which ended up wasting money and hurting family ties. It would be better to sit down and listen to the child's opinions, help him analyze, and then let him decide what to learn and where to learn.

Secondly, we should give children more opportunities, believe that they have enough ability to develop themselves, give them different responsibilities at different ages, and provide different opportunities according to the children's personality, so that they can understand and learn from them, and then develop their thinking and decision-making abilities. Slowly, children will be able to make their own decisions.

Perhaps you feel that letting children do everything by themselves makes parents seem less responsible and lazier. In fact, it is intentional to give children opportunities to demonstrate their abilities. If parents do not let go, they will never know how capable their children are. Moreover, human potential is infinite, and the more it is developed, the more it will be. Smart parents, why not give the responsibility back to the children easily and let them know that it doesn’t matter even if the decision is wrong, because only with mistakes can there be improvement, and only with improvement can there be a chance of success!
