What complementary foods are there for babies aged five or six months?

Some people say that it is cruel for a mother to wean her baby, just letting the baby cry without feeding him. In fact, from a scientific point of view, weaning at six months old is obviously more in line with scientific feeding standards. However, if you are not prepared in advance and don’t know what food to feed your baby, you should not wean your baby easily. It will not be too late to wean your child until you have truly mastered the knowledge in this area. So, what are the complementary foods for babies aged five or six months?

Babies aged six months can officially start adding complementary foods, first eating rice cereal, then vegetable and fruit puree, and finally egg yolks. The baby's staple food recipe should be mainly soup or paste, such as fruit juice, vegetable juice, vegetable soup, meat broth, egg yolk puree, vegetable puree, fruit puree, fish puree, meat puree, etc., which can be easily accepted by the baby.

1. Egg yolk mud

Ingredients: 1 egg.

Method: After the eggs are cooked, mash them with a spoon, then add appropriate amount of boiling water or formula milk and mix evenly into a paste. You can start with 1/8 egg yolk, and then gradually increase to 1/4 or 1/3 depending on your baby's acceptance.

Nutrition Tips: Egg yolks are high in iron, and vitamins A, D and E dissolve in fat and are easily absorbed and used by the body.

2. Fresh liver and potato paste

Ingredients: 20 grams of potatoes, 30 grams of rice, 5 grams of chicken liver.

Method: Rinse the chicken liver with running water, put it into a small pot and cook; take it out (keep the water from cooking the chicken liver), take about 1/3 and mash it into a paste; wash the potatoes, put them into a small pot and cook until soft, take them out and mash them into potato puree; after washing the rice, add the water used to cook the chicken liver, bring to a boil over high heat, then turn to medium-low heat and simmer until the rice grains become a paste; add the chicken liver puree and potato puree, stir well and turn off the heat, and feed it to the baby after it is warm.

Nutritional tips: Chicken liver is rich in protein, calcium, phosphorus, iron, zinc, vitamin A, and B vitamins, which can protect your baby's eyesight.
