Children's allergic rhinitis medication

Children's allergic rhinitis medication

In today's urban life, children are more prone to allergies, and children's allergic rhinitis should be prevented as early as possible, especially in the living environment, by keeping the room dry and avoiding placing plants that need watering. If it is an allergic child, the mother usually needs to add anti-allergic probiotics to the baby and adjust his allergic constitution. So what are the medicines for allergic rhinitis in children? Let me show you

Once you are sick, take systemic and local anti-allergic drugs under the guidance of a doctor.

* Antihistamines (oral or intranasal) are the first choice of drugs, which help reduce nasal mucosal edema and can relieve runny nose and sneezing symptoms.

* Nasal corticosteroids can be the first-line medication for patients with mild persistent, moderate to severe intermittent, and moderate to severe persistent disease.

* Topical glucocorticoids can exert a strong anti-inflammatory effect in the nasal cavity, relieving symptoms of runny nose, nasal congestion, nasal itching, and sneezing.

* Leukotriene receptor antagonists are non-hormonal anti-inflammatory preparations that can reduce the need for glucocorticoids in patients with allergic rhinitis. They are taken orally once a day and are convenient to use.

In addition, step-by-step drug treatment should be carried out according to the classification of allergic rhinitis and should be used continuously for a long time. If appropriate medicines are selected according to age and the correct usage methods are mastered, there will be few side effects and it will not hinder the growth and development of children.

1. Specific immunotherapy (desensitization sublingual therapy)

Sublingual desensitization therapy is a method of dripping allergen extracts under the tongue to create tolerance in the respiratory mucosa, thereby alleviating or controlling allergic symptoms and achieving the purpose of desensitization therapy.

2. Specific immunotherapy (nano-desensitization therapy)

Nano-desensitization therapy changes the route of administration and penetrates into the body through the skin. The topical desensitization patch contains multiple allergen dry powders, titanium dioxide nanocrystals and far-infrared gaskets. Under the catalysis of light and far-infrared rays, titanium dioxide nanocrystals can effectively decompose organic matter in allergen dry powder and produce free small molecule antigens; at the same time, titanium dioxide nanocrystals can decompose skin stratum corneum proteins under photocatalysis, increase the gaps between epithelial tissues, and help promote the continuous and maximum penetration of small molecule antigens into the human body. Under the long-term continuous stimulation of these antigens, the body gradually develops immune tolerance and will not respond to further contact with allergens, thus achieving complete desensitization.

Tips:

1. Immunotherapy is also known as desensitization therapy, but the World Health Organization does not recommend it in developing countries.

2. Nasal decongestants can quickly reduce nasal congestion and relieve nasal congestion, but large-scale and long-term use can cause drug-induced rhinitis. They can only be used as short-term auxiliary medications and are mostly used in children over 6 years old.
