How to take care of a newborn baby?

How to take care of a newborn baby is a topic that many families are concerned about, because babies are very weak from birth, and many organs are not yet mature at this time. So compared with us adults, children's bodies are prone to problems. If a newborn baby is not well taken care of, the child will catch a cold or have other bad symptoms. So how to take care of a newborn baby?

Babies have the basic abilities to forage, suck and swallow as soon as they are born, so it is best to feed the baby within 30 minutes after birth, preferably with breast milk, and usually once every 3 hours. The baby's consciousness is just emerging at this time, and his memory is the strongest. He will remember who his mother is.

The baby should be vaccinated with BCG and hepatitis B vaccine on the second day after birth to prevent tuberculosis and hepatitis B; he should also undergo thyroid function and phenylketonuria tests to ensure the baby's healthy growth. Parents should keep their babies away from crowded public places to avoid contact with sources of disease. If there are patients at home, they should be isolated. The ambient temperature should be suitable, preferably maintained at 20℃~25℃.

It is very common for newborn babies to spit up milk. This situation will continue until the baby is 3-4 months old. When the contraction function of the cardia matures, the frequency of spitting up milk will gradually decrease. To prevent the baby from spitting up milk, you should hold the baby upright after each feeding, let the baby's little head rest on the mother's shoulder, and then gently pat the baby's back until you hear the baby burp. If the baby does not burp, you can also massage the baby's back. In addition, if your baby is fed from a bottle, be sure to choose a nipple of the right size to prevent your baby from inhaling too much air. Nowadays, many new baby bottles have designs that reduce air inhalation, which can also help babies reduce spitting up to a certain extent.

Babies born in summer can go out to bask in the sun half a month after birth. Choose a windless time to take it outdoors, and the time you take it outside can be a little shorter at the beginning. Try to expose your baby's skin as much as possible, but be careful not to let direct sunlight hit your baby's body. Babies born in other seasons can also go out after the full moon if the weather is good. Sunbathing can promote calcium absorption.

To promote your baby's visual development, you can hang some colorful bed hangings around your baby's crib. Newborn babies are more sensitive to the colors black, white and red. Some regular patterns with strong contrast can attract the baby's attention. For example, black and white grids, black and white stripes, and concentric circles can promote the baby's visual resolution ability. Babies also like red balls. You can train your baby to do tracking training every day. The method is to put the ball about 20 cm away from the baby for the baby to look at, and then move it slowly so that the baby's eyes follow the movement of the ball.

You must pay attention when taking care of your baby. Both the child's life and diet need to be reasonably improved and adjusted. When taking care of the child's body, you must prevent the child from catching cold, but also do not let the child get overheated. This is very bad for the child. When the weather is hot, you should still use air conditioning for the child, but you must pay attention to the appropriate temperature and let the child wear long sleeves.
