What's wrong with a child's nosebleed?

Nosebleeds can be caused by various reasons, and not only adults, but also children. The reasons for children are more subtle. It may be due to dry weather or some other reasons. So what is the matter with children's nosebleeds?

Nosebleed is one of the common symptoms of nasal diseases. There are many reasons for nosebleeds. In principle, the examination should determine the bleeding site, estimate the amount of bleeding, and determine the cause of bleeding. In addition to examining the nasal cavity, you should also pay attention to the patient's complexion, check the pulse and blood pressure, do blood tests and other necessary examinations. Generally speaking, most of them are local causes, which are common in congenital telangiectasia, deviated nasal septum, nasal trauma, nasal inflammation and tumors of the nasal cavity, sinuses or nasopharynx.

But nearly half of the people cannot find the reason. We know that the tiny blood vessels in the nasal mucosa are densely distributed, especially in children. When the weather suddenly turns cold and the nasal cavity is too dry, the capillaries inside will rupture and cause bleeding. From a clinical perspective, 90% of nosebleeds are vascular bleeding caused by blood vessel rupture. This phenomenon is quite common. In most cases, it can be handled by oneself and the bleeding can be stopped in time. Parents do not need to worry too much.

Generally speaking, nasal bleeding due to ruptured blood vessels does not require special treatment. The nose belongs to the orifice of the lungs. Generally speaking, any nasal disease is closely related to abnormalities in the lungs, liver and other parts of the body. When a person's Qi and blood rise, especially when the lung Qi is hot, the person will have a nosebleed. Therefore, in your daily diet, you should pay attention to clearing heat and reducing fire, eat less spicy food, and try to avoid situations that cause lung heat.

The correct way to deal with a nosebleed: Keep your head upright or slightly tilted forward, and use your fingers to press the front part of the nose (the soft part of the nose) on the bleeding side from the outside of the nose, similar to pinching the nose with your hand, and apply direct pressure for about 5 to 10 minutes. Most patients can simply stop bleeding in this way.
