Teething symptoms in babies

Teething symptoms in babies

After a few months, the baby will start to grow teeth slowly. There are some symptoms of teething in babies. Parents should pay more attention and not ignore the teething stage of the baby. Sometimes it will cause fever, etc. Once a fever occurs, go to the hospital for treatment in time. The baby will often be irritable during the teething process, crying incessantly, drooling for no reason, etc. So, what are the symptoms of the baby's teething period?

Symptoms of teething in babies:

Drooling

Babies start drooling around ten weeks to three or four months old, and teething especially stimulates saliva secretion.

Rash on the chin or face

Your baby's chin and facial skin may develop allergic rashes due to long-term contact with saliva. To avoid this phenomenon, you should often wipe the baby's saliva. When your skin is dry, apply a mild lotion to moisturize it.

Mild cough

Too much saliva can cause your baby to regurgitate or cough. As long as it's not a cold or allergies, it doesn't matter.

Chewing something

A teething baby may bite anything and everyone he sees—from his own hand to his mother's nipple to a stranger's finger—in an attempt to relieve the pressure of the growing tooth under his gums by applying the force of chewing.

Red cheeks

You may notice red spots on your baby's cheeks.

Swollen gums

Check his mouth to see if there is any redness or swelling on the gums.

Restless sleep

Your baby may wake up in the middle of the night and seem fussy even though he had been sleeping soundly before.

Increased body temperature

Teething can increase body temperature slightly, so your baby may feel a little warmer than usual.

Buttock pain

Although we don't know why, some parents have noticed that their babies are more likely to get diaper rash and have loose stools when they are teething.
