Why is the skin on the child's hands peeling?

When people think of shedding skin, the first thing that comes to mind is snakes. Snakes usually shed their skin once every summer. Shedding skin means that the snake is growing. However, it is found that people also shed their skin sometimes. Many parents will find that their children's hands are shedding skin, which makes people feel very surprised. Could it be that people are like snakes and need to shed skin before they can grow back? When going to the hospital, many people say not to worry about it and it is okay, and they can't explain why. What is going on? Let’s learn more about it.

The reason:

1. Peeling of children's fingers may be caused by a lack of vitamins and trace elements, or it may be caused by ringworm infection, or seasonal peeling, contact with irritating chemicals, frequent friction and stimulation, etc. may also cause this symptom.

2. It is because of lack of water in the body.

3. Sometimes it is seasonal. When a certain season comes, you are allergic to that season and it will cause peeling of your hands and feet. If you want to improve this situation, the first thing is to give the body enough water, followed by replenishing the trace elements needed by the body, and do a good job of care in specific seasons.

What's wrong with the skin peeling?

1. Most children may only have mild peeling of their fingers and toes without any inflammation. This situation can be said to be normal and is called "physiological desquamation." Physiological desquamation is caused by children's rapid metabolism. Generally, it does not require special treatment. It has obvious seasonality and tends to occur in spring and autumn. For most children, it will stop after a period of time, while for some children, it may last relatively longer, ranging from a few weeks to one or two months.

2. Peeling of fingers mostly occurs in autumn or winter, which is related to children's poor resistance.

3. Children who are picky eaters have not developed the habit of eating fruits and vegetables, and have long-term insufficient intake of vitamins. In addition, infants and young children like to explore the unknown world with their hands. Their delicate skin cannot adapt to changes in temperature and humidity. The evaporation of skin moisture is too rapid, causing shrinkage, and the nail bed skin and nails are too tightly adhered, making it impossible for the skin to naturally separate from the root of the nail. These combined factors will cause hangnails, peeling and other skin lesions on the hands of children.

4. The baby's skin is very delicate. If the indoor temperature is too high, too dry or there is friction, it may peel off.

Treatment:

Palm peeling is seasonal and tends to heal on its own, generally without the need for special treatment. For patients with more serious or recurrent symptoms, Western medicine often uses sedatives, antihistamines and anticholine drugs for treatment.

1. During the blister stage, the main focus should be on astringency and antipruritic measures. You can apply the Chinese medicine Fu Kang Jie Ointment externally, or you can soak in 10% alum solution.

2. Use medication to protect the newly grown epidermis except during the peeling stage. You can apply Fu Kang Jie ointment externally.

3. For patients with dry skin, thickened keratin and small cracks, they can apply the moisturizing and crack-preventing "Fu Kang Mei Ointment" externally. In addition, be careful not to tear off the stratum corneum that has not been completely peeled off, so as not to cause pain or bleeding.

4. For more serious or recurrent attacks, you can take Liuwei Dihuang Pills or Liuwei Dihuang Decoction with modifications: 20 grams of Rehmannia glutinosa, 15 grams of yam, 10 grams of Cornus officinalis, 10 grams of Moutan bark, 10 grams of Alisma orientalis, and 15 grams of Poria. Add water to 15 grams of Saposhnikovia divaricata and 30 grams of Tribulus terrestris, boil and drink. Generally, 3-5 doses are enough to see results.

5. Apply vitamin C injection to the affected area twice a day, for a course of 3 days. It has a good effect on the recovery of skin lesions. Method: Wash your hands first, wait until they are slightly dry, pour vitamin C injection solution into your palms, then rub the solution evenly with both palms, and wash it off when the solution dries and turns white. Take 2 times a day, 2 ml each time. Efficacy: There are reports of using vitamin C to treat patients with peeling hands. For mild cases, the effect is obvious after one time, and for severe cases, the effect is obvious after three times, and the skin can be cured within a few days.

6. Patients should also maintain an optimistic mood, avoid mental stress and emotional excitement, and try to avoid contact with alkaline detergents. Can prevent the occurrence of this disease.

7. Chop the ginger into pieces and soak it in white wine for 24 hours. Then apply it to the affected area 1-2 times a day. The effect is very significant.

8. Take fresh leek juice with appropriate amount of brown and white sugar once a day for 4 consecutive times for effective results.
