What to do if your child's nasal concha is swollen

Children's enlarged nasal conchae are caused by inflammatory infection, so we need to pay attention to it in life and strengthen physical exercise, because this kind of exercise can increase the body's antibody effect, while at the same time it can improve the body's immune function and accelerate the body's absorption function. In terms of diet, we should pay attention to eating foods that can improve immunity and enhance resistance, and make reasonable improvements.

Precautions

First: increase physical exercise, choose medical exercises, Tai Chi, Five Animal Exercises, table tennis, sword dancing and other items, and persevere in doing so to enhance physical fitness and improve the body's resistance to disease. Starting from summer, insist on washing your face and wiping your nose with cold water to increase your ability to resist cold. When it is cold or the climate changes drastically, you should avoid catching cold and wear a mask when going out.

Second: Do not blow your nose forcefully when you have a stuffy nose, so as to avoid rupturing the nasal capillaries and causing nosebleeds. It can also prevent bacterial mucus from entering the nasopharynx and causing otitis media.

Third: Use self-nose massage technique, use the index and middle fingers of both hands to massage the bridge of the nose at the inner corner of the eye at the same time, from top to bottom once, for a total of 80 times; use the middle finger to rub about 1 cm on both sides of the nose, and massage in a circular motion, for a total of 70 times; use the index, middle, and ring fingers of both hands to massage the center of the eyebrows at the same time, and then massage outward along the eyebrows to the temples on both sides, for a total of 60 times. Massage can be repeated, once in the morning, noon and evening. It can effectively prevent the occurrence of rhinitis and improve the condition of chronic rhinitis.

Fourth: Wash the nasal scabs with warm water, then apply raw honey to the affected area of the nose with a cotton swab, once a day, until there is no pain or itching in the nose, no secretions or scabs, and the sense of smell is restored.

Fifth: Eat food that is easy to digest and absorb. Avoid eating raw, cold food, smoking, drinking, spicy and stimulating food.

Sixth: When you have a cold, you must seek prompt and thorough treatment to avoid rhinitis, which will eventually lead to nasal concha hypertrophy.

Common sense

So why does adenoids hypertrophy occur?

People mainly breathe through their noses when they sleep. Snoring occurs when the ventilation pathway in the nasopharynx is blocked. Children's snoring is different from that of adults. Adults' snoring is related to pharyngeal muscle relaxation and obesity, while children's snoring is often caused by enlarged adenoids and tonsils affecting nasopharyngeal ventilation. Such children will have nasal congestion and mouth breathing even when they are not sleeping during the day.
