What to eat when a child has hard stools

Hard stools are a very common problem in children. Of course, this problem is also caused by the child’s unreasonable diet. Therefore, after the child has the problem of hard stool, it is necessary to adjust the child’s diet in time and give the child more digestible food. Of course, children of different ages need to eat different foods. Here I will introduce to you the dietary therapy methods for children’s hard stools!

1. Banana applesauce, suitable for babies over 6 months old

Use half a ripe banana (not the kind with green skin, as eating bananas with green skin will cause constipation and have a counterproductive effect), half an apple, and an appropriate amount of honey for children.

Production process: Scrape the apples and bananas into a puree with an iron spoon, then add a little honey to the two purees and steam them for 2-3 minutes. Eat once in the morning when you wake up, and once at noon and in the afternoon.

2. Cucumber and carrot juice, suitable for babies over 6 months old

Ingredients: one cucumber and one carrot.

Production process: Cut the cucumber and carrot into sections, add a small amount of cold boiled water into the juicer, then add the cucumber and carrot to squeeze out the juice, and give the squeezed juice and cucumber and carrot puree to the baby to drink, once at noon and in the afternoon. In addition to being rich in vitamins, cucumbers and carrots also contain a large amount of carotene in carrots and vitamin C in cucumbers, both of which can prevent and relieve constipation.

3. Spinach, sesame oil

Blanch the spinach in boiling water for one minute, remove the stems and only the leaves. Chop the leaves into fine pieces, add a little sesame oil and a little salt, mix them and feed them to the baby. If the baby doesn't eat it, you can make eggs into omelets, cut them into small strips, and eat them with the spinach and sesame oil (spinach must be blanched in boiling water, as spinach contains oxalic acid, which makes it easy to absorb calcium from food. You can also give your baby an appropriate amount of sesame oil after a meal.

4. Drink fruit or vegetable juice

Babies who are 4 months old or older can drink some juice squeezed from apples, pears, etc., or vegetable juice boiled in water from carrots, green vegetables, etc. If the baby is too young, you should feed him 1-2 spoons at first, and then increase the amount as appropriate after there is no problem.

5. Eat vegetables and fruits

When your baby is 4-6 months old, you can add appropriate amounts of complementary food to his diet, such as vegetable porridge or fruit puree. Vegetables and fruits are rich in fiber, which can promote intestinal motility and relieve constipation.
