What to do if your baby has stomachache, fever and vomiting

The baby's physical condition has always been a matter of great concern to parents. Since babies have very poor resistance, they are easily affected by the outside world, which will cause some symptoms, such as stomach pain, fever, vomiting, etc. These symptoms will affect the normal development of the baby's body. However, before treatment, parents must find the correct cause, otherwise it will easily make the condition worse. So what should I do if my baby has stomach pain, fever and vomiting?

First, what should I do if my baby has a stomachache, fever and vomiting? Most children suffer from appendicitis due to cold, diarrhea, or gastrointestinal dysfunction, which causes intestinal bacteria to invade the appendix. If a child suddenly has abdominal pain accompanied by nausea, vomiting, fever and other symptoms, then the child has appendicitis.

The possibility is relatively high. Appendicitis in children progresses rapidly. In severe cases, it can lead to perforation and even be life-threatening. Mothers must pay attention to it.

Second, how do parents determine whether their children have appendicitis? Not all cases of appendicitis in children present with abdominal pain. Some present with symptoms such as fever, vomiting, and diarrhea. For example, if the child's vomiting is severe and lasts for a long time, and the fever is between 37.5 and 38.5℃, and there is abdominal pain around the navel at the beginning of the disease, which gradually develops into tenderness in the right lower abdomen around the navel, and the child will feel pain when pressed with the hand, then it is basically appendicitis and the child must be sent to the doctor for treatment in time.

Third, appendicitis in children develops very quickly, and if not treated for a long time it may even be life-threatening. If the child is found to have repeated symptoms such as fever, vomiting, diarrhea, etc. and does not improve, and the child feels pain when pressing the right lower abdomen, parents should pay attention to it and must go to the hospital for examination and timely treatment.

What should I do if my baby has stomachache, fever and vomiting? The air conditioning in summer and the temperature difference in autumn and winter can easily cause the baby's stomach to catch a cold. When the body temperature is below 38℃, generally no special treatment is required. You can apply a cooling patch to help reduce fever, or take a pack of Xiao Chaihu Granules to induce sweating and reduce fever. If the temperature is above 38.5℃, you can take a dropper of Motrin and do not reuse it within four hours. Do not take Motrin if the temperature is below 38.5 degrees. For babies with a high fever above 39℃, you can use 75% alcohol added to half water, dip gauze in it and wipe the neck, armpits, thighs and limbs to reduce fever.
