1. False menstruation

It is normal for a newborn baby girl to have leucorrhea. This is a physiological phenomenon of the newborn, called false menstruation. It usually disappears on its own after 2 to 4 days. You can use sterilized gauze or sterile cotton swabs to gently wipe it off for the baby. At the same time, make sure the baby maintains good hygiene, drinks plenty of water and gets more sleep.

2. Physiological phenomena

Many babies will secrete some white substances in their vagina just after they are born. Some children will even secrete a small amount of blood from their vagina around seven days after birth. This is all very normal. It is not a symptom of disease and parents do not need to worry. The reason why children have vaginal discharge and blood is mainly because when they are still in the womb, the mother's body has a high level of estrogen, which will also be affected. After birth, the estrogen level begins to decrease sharply. In addition to voice, there is no secretion cycle yet, so the skin of the vaginal arm will fall off and be discharged from the vaginal secretions, so it forms something like leucorrhea.

Because of the special reproductive system structure of baby girls, parents need to be extra careful when cleaning and bathing them every day. The cleanliness of the lower body is even higher than that of a baby boy. Especially clean the folds of the genitals. If necessary, you can use a soft cotton swab to wipe it to ensure that the child's lower body is clean and refreshed. If your child has secretions from his or her genitals, do not easily use adult treatment methods.
