When cleaning a girl's genitals, pay attention to the order and clean from top to bottom and from front to back. Just use a soft towel to gently clean the outer vaginal opening. Never wash the inside, as this may damage the delicate skin of the vagina. Use a wet towel to slowly wipe away any dirt around your labia minora. Wipe clean even after urinating. You can fold the towel into a long thin strip and then slide it in the groove of the labia minora to wipe it. You can also use a cotton swab bought in the supermarket, dip it in water and wipe it gently. Some mothers have the habit of applying talcum powder to their baby's genitals, which is actually inappropriate. Talcum powder may mix with unwiped-off moisture and sweat and accumulate in the wrinkles of the skin, forming small particles, which may cause ulcers on the baby's delicate skin after rubbing against the skin.
