How to treat pulmonary artery stenosis in infants?

Many babies get sick as soon as they are born, which seriously affects their health. If not treated in time, it can easily lead to dangerous situations for the babies. Many babies suffer from pulmonary artery stenosis, which seriously affects their physical health. So how should pulmonary artery stenosis be treated in babies? Let me introduce this issue to you below.

The disease is mainly caused by congenital factors. The treatment method is mainly surgery, and the effect is good. Therefore, if a systolic murmur is found in the second intercostal space on the left side of the sternum, you should go to the hospital for examination as soon as possible. Balloon dilatation can be performed for simple pulmonary valve stenosis. In the neonatal period, immediate surgery to establish a body-lung anastomosis (such as Blalock-Taussig shunt) can provide the necessary pulmonary blood flow. Before the operation, prostaglandin E1 0.05-0.1μg/(kg.min) is used, and intravenous drip is used to maintain the patency of the ductus arteriosus to maintain life. Pulmonary valvulotomy can also be performed. These methods are palliative. After entering childhood, another surgery is required to improve the conditions of the right ventricular outflow tract. Balloon valvuloplasty can be performed for infants with normal or nearly normal right ventricle. For older children, balloon dilatation should be selected and a catheter should be used to evaluate the atrial septum and obtain correct pulmonary artery pressure measurements. Some severe valvular dysplasia may require valvulotomy. If the stenosis is not very serious, treatment can be delayed until the preschool period.

This is a symptom of some heart diseases, a symptom of congenital heart disease. You can take some anti-inflammatory drugs to achieve the therapeutic effect and it will get better. Nourishing for a period of time can achieve the conditioning effect. If it is not improved after half a year, surgery is required. Generally, surgical treatment can be performed at around two years old, which can eliminate the side effects caused by this defect.

The above is my opinion on this issue that I would like to introduce to you. If the baby has the above problems, timely treatment should be given to avoid long-term lack of treatment which may cause dangerous situations for the baby. Especially the above situations can easily cause problems for the patient and affect the health of the child. Finally, I wish the child a speedy recovery.
