The baby's skin is delicate and the body's resistance is not very high, which can easily lead to rashes when the skin is exposed to various stimuli. There are many possible reasons for the rash on the baby's back, such as prickly heat, dermatitis, allergies, etc. Different causes require different treatments. As a parent, you can first understand the causes and treatments of back rashes, and then try to solve them yourself.

1. Treatment of skin rashes

As the weather gets warmer, parents may dress their newborns too warmly, which may cause rashes caused by skin diseases such as prickly heat, dermatitis (seborrheic or allergic). As long as you pay attention to daily care, the rashes will gradually disappear.

Method: When the weather is hot and humid, parents should not be afraid that the newborn will catch a cold if they don’t wear enough clothes, as wearing too much clothes will also make them uncomfortable. After a newborn baby sweats, remember to change his clothes frequently. The clothes he wears should be loose, preferably made of pure cotton. You only need to bathe a newborn once a day, not too often. After bathing, you can apply some baby powder or talcum powder to keep the newborn's skin clean and comfortable, which is beneficial to skin recovery. Pay attention to hygiene at home, as dust mites can also cause rashes in newborns.

2. Treatment of infectious rashes

When a newborn baby has a viral cold and fever, he or she is likely to develop a rash, such as roseola or red scab.

Method: For rashes caused by viral infections, parents should first take the newborn to the hospital for treatment. Antibiotics will usually be prescribed, which can alleviate symptoms for children with local secondary infections or lymph node infections, leukocytosis, and increased body temperature.

3. Treatment of allergic rash

The newborn's constitution is still very fragile, and they may be allergic to the food or medicine they eat. If your baby has an allergic rash, you can use the following methods to treat it:

Taking antihistamines

Take some antihistamines under the doctor's advice. These drugs have strong anti-itching and anti-allergic effects. Note: Medications with sedative properties are better than those without sedative properties.

Taking hormone medications

If a newborn develops large-area acute eczema and other treatments are not effective, it is recommended to take hormone drugs, but they should not be used frequently as they may cause dependence and other side effects.

Avoid allergy-causing foods

The most important thing for allergic rash is to find the allergens of the newborn. You can take the newborn to a large hospital for an allergen test, so that you can know what the newborn is allergic to. If it is allergic to breast milk, you can replace it with milk. If it is allergic to milk, you can switch to breast milk or eat specially treated formula milk that does not contain newborn allergens. If it is allergic to other foods, such as peanuts, protein, beans, etc., you can temporarily not eat these foods. For breastfed newborns, mothers should pay special attention to whether they have eaten anything containing allergens, so as to avoid allergic rash in the newborn.

4. Diet therapy for neonatal rash

Mung Bean Kelp Houttuynia Cordata

Step 1: Prepare the ingredients

Prepare 30 grams of mung beans, 20 grams of kelp, 15 grams of Houttuynia cordata and a small amount of white sugar.

Step 2: Cook the soup

Wash the mung beans, kelp and Houttuynia cordata, put them in a stew pot with 800 ml of water and simmer for about an hour. When all the ingredients are cooked, they are ready to eat.

Feed the newborn with some soup every day for about a week. This dietary therapy formula has the effect of removing dampness and heat.

Silver flower tea or chrysanthemum tea

Honeysuckle tea: Take 2 grams of honeysuckle and boil water, add appropriate amount of rock sugar, and feed it to the newborn when the water temperature is not hot, once a day. Honeysuckle has the effect of clearing away heat and detoxifying, relieving swelling and pain, and removing sores.

Chrysanthemum tea: Take 2 grams of chrysanthemum and brew it with boiling water. When the water temperature is suitable for drinking, feed it to the newborn once or twice a day. Chrysanthemum has the effect of clearing away heat, dispersing wind and detoxifying.
