The child's testicles have not come out

Testicular descent is a silent and rational characteristic. As the baby develops in the belly, the testicles will slowly descend automatically. However, for some children, one side of the testicle may not descend completely after birth. This will slowly recover during the development process, so as a parent, you don’t need to worry too much, just do the corresponding examinations and care in time.

Testicular descent

principle

Testicular descent: After the testicles of mammals complete a certain development, they descend from the abdominal cavity to the scrotum. The period of decline does not necessarily occur during adolescence. For example, most people have completed the decline by birth. In mammals with scrotums, the testicles are descended, and maintaining the testicular temperature at a level lower than normal body temperature is a necessary factor for sperm formation. Depending on the species, some (elephants) have testicles that remain in the abdominal cavity throughout their lives; in addition, in many rodents, the testicles only migrate to the scrotum during the reproductive period.

Testicular descent refers to the failure of the testicles to descend into the scrotum according to the normal development process. The incidence rate in newborns is about 4%. With age, some children with incompletely descended testicles can still descend on their own. The incidence rate of cryptorchidism has dropped to 0.66% at the age of 1. However, the chance of testicles descending on their own will be significantly reduced after 1 year old. Children with cryptorchidism generally do not have any discomfort symptoms, but parents can find that they cannot feel the testicles in one or both sides of their child's scrotum if they pay a little attention. If this happens, parents should take their children to see a doctor immediately.

Normal testicles are located in the scrotum, and the optimum temperature for testicular development is 35 degrees. C. Based on the special structure of the scrotal wall, the scrotum can adjust the state of the scrotal wall according to the changes in external temperature, so that the testicles in the scrotum are always at 35. C or so environment. Incompletely descended testicles are caused by the environment temperature being higher than 35. C, and the lesions are mainly characterized by degeneration of the seminiferous tubules. Degenerated seminiferous tubules cannot produce mature sperm. If bilateral cryptorchidism occurs, it will easily lead to infertility. If unilateral cryptorchidism occurs, it will also affect the testicles on the other side that have descended into the scrotum and cause sympathetic lesions. In other words, it can cause pathological changes in the testicles on the other side that have completely descended, resulting in a decrease in the spermatogenic capacity of the testicles that have completely descended. If the undescended testicles are located near the inguinal canal or pubic tubercle, their position is superficial and fixed, and they are also easily affected by external forces.
