There is a white spot on the child's face

Because children have poor resistance and low immunity, they are likely to develop various skin diseases. When parents find some white spots on their children's faces, it does not rule out the possibility of white spot disease caused by pigment dissociation. In normal times, it is necessary to check the specific reasons first, find the cause of the disease for treatment and conditioning, and pay attention to diet.

Diet and health care

Adjusting dietary taboos:

Due to the lack of certain trace metal elements in the blood and white spots of vitiligo/leukoplakia patients, the activity of tyrosinase in the body is reduced, which affects the synthesis and metabolism of melanin and thus causes lesions. Patients should eat more foods rich in tyrosine and minerals, such as beef, pork, eggs, fresh vegetables, beans, peanuts, black sesame seeds, raisins, nuts, and shellfish. Dietary restrictions are an important part of preventing vitiligo. Taking VC is harmful to vitiligo patients, so they should try not to eat or eat less foods rich in VC. Daily life experience also shows that so-called "hot foods" or "irritating foods" can also affect the condition and treatment effects, and are not conducive to recovery from the disease, so attention should be paid.

Preventive Care

Do not use bactericides or disinfectants for cleaning to avoid irritating the skin; choose neutralizing, weakly acidic or soap-free products as much as possible. However, the best way is to wash it with clean water, and remember not to use too hot water to avoid aggravating the inflammation symptoms. Develop good daily habits, for example: wash your hands immediately after going to the toilet, and wipe from the vaginal opening to the anus. Try to avoid sitting for long periods of time to reduce the heat and humidity and stay dry. In terms of clothing, you should avoid wearing tight pants, leggings and pantyhose, and switch to breathable cotton as soon as possible. When the secretion is not too much, there is no need to use sanitary pads. If it is damp, it will easily aggravate or cause vulvar skin problems.

Pathological etiology

The cause of congenital vitiligo may be due to various reasons during embryonic development. Generally, white patches appear on the skin at birth or shortly after birth, such as achromic nevus, anemic nevus, achromic incontinence pigmenti, etc. The distribution of these white spots is generally limited or has certain characteristics, and the color of the white spots will not be very white. As the skin grows and develops, these white spots will neither fade nor expand significantly after stabilizing.

There are many causes of acquired vitiligo. Since the skin is in direct contact with the external environment, the appearance of white spots on the skin may be caused by both internal reasons and external environmental factors, such as sun exposure, chemicals, fungal infections, etc. There are many skin diseases that can cause skin hypopigmentation or depigmentation. Some inflammatory skin diseases can cause white spots on local parts of the skin. These white spots usually occur before other inflammatory skin diseases, such as eczema and psoriasis, which destroy the melanocytes in the basal layer of the skin and cause skin depigmentation.
