Baby has diarrhea and anus is red and painful

Every baby is a little angel who brings endless joy to parents' lives. Every parent hopes that their baby can grow up healthily. However, due to the infancy of babies, the spleen and stomach functions are not yet fully developed. Also, due to the weak resistance of babies in infancy, they are easily infected by external bacteria and suffer from diarrhea. The baby's skin is delicate, and prolonged diarrhea will cause redness and pain in the anus. So how do you prevent your baby from having diarrhea and having a red and painful anus?

1. Replenish fluids in time. When caring for a baby with diarrhea, special attention should be paid to replenishing fluids in time to prevent dehydration due to excessive loss of water in the stool. You can feed water, rice soup, or juice at any time, and it is best to feed oral rehydration salts. You can also give your baby some carrot juice. Wash and chop 250 grams of fresh carrots, put them into a pot, add 3 grams of fine salt, and boil them in appropriate amount of water. Remove the residue and take the juice. Take it 2-3 times a day. It has the effect of strengthening the spleen, digesting food and stopping diarrhea.

2. Adjust your diet in time. The principle of dietary treatment for babies with diarrhea is: adjust the diet and continue eating. Babies who are breastfed should continue to be breastfed. If the baby is not breastfed, he or she can continue to be fed with the milk or milk products he or she consumes on a daily basis.

3. Ensure disinfection and hygiene. When caring for a baby with infectious diarrhea, disinfection and isolation should be done properly, and eating utensils, water cups, and bottles should be disinfected regularly. Wash and dry clothes frequently. After caring for the baby, your hands should be washed repeatedly before doing other things.

4. Protect your baby's buttocks. Since your baby's bowel movements have increased a lot, they will constantly contaminate his bottom. Moreover, the feces discharged during diarrhea are more irritating to the skin. Therefore, after each bowel movement, the mother should clean the baby's buttocks with warm water (try not to use soap or disinfectant). It is best to use soft and clean cotton diapers, and change them frequently to avoid erythema and urinary tract infection. If your bottom becomes red, leave it in the air to dry naturally, then apply some diaper rash cream.

5. Don’t forget to keep your abdomen warm. Babies with diarrhea often suffer from abdominal pain due to intestinal spasms. Keeping the abdomen warm can relieve intestinal spasms and reduce pain. The baby's abdomen should be covered when sleeping to prevent it from catching cold.

6. Deficiency of spleen and stomach is an important cause of diarrhea in babies. If your baby has a weak spleen and stomach and internal coldness, you should first let your child develop the habit of drinking hot drinks. Do not eat too much yogurt to avoid disrupting the acid-base balance in the intestines. You can eat more crude fiber foods such as yam, taro, pumpkin, and coix seed, and regulate the symptoms scientifically and rationally to keep your baby away from the harm of a weak spleen and stomach and internal coldness.
