In fact, heart fire in traditional Chinese medicine refers to the internal heat of the human body. Clinically, it is mainly manifested in symptoms such as heat in the five hearts, dry throat, dry mouth, and sores in the mouth and tongue. In the correspondence between the five internal organs and the five elements, the heart corresponds to fire. In addition, "the heart controls the blood vessels throughout the body", so when the heart fire is strong, the child's hands, feet, and five hearts will feel hot. Furthermore, "the tongue is the root of the heart, and the tongue is the sprout of the heart." The tongue and the heart are mutually external and internal, so when the heart fire is strong, the tip of the tongue will turn red.
