What is allergic eczema in children?

Allergic eczema in children is a common skin disease in children. Its main causes include congenital factors, allergic constitution, nutritional factors, environmental factors, dietary factors, etc. Let’s introduce them in detail below.

1. Congenital factors

(1) Pregnant women eat a lot of irritating foods, that is, foods that are nutritious or irritating and can easily cause certain symptoms to change, such as spicy foods, fish and seafood, etc.

(2) Pregnant women have mood swings, their liver fire stirs, and some heat and toxins that have not been cleared remain in the fetus.

(3) Babies with a family history of allergies are more likely to develop this disease

2. Internal factors

(1) Babies have a thin stratum corneum, a high endothelial content of water and chloride, and a rich capillary network, which can easily lead to eczema.

(2) Acquired nutritional imbalance. Excessive nutrition, indigestion, and excessive consumption of fat and sweet foods damage the spleen and stomach, causing the spleen to lose its healthy function and internal generation of dampness and heat.

3. Predisposing factors

(1) Food factors: Foods rich in protein: fish, shrimp, eggs and milk, etc.

(2) External stimuli: wool products, plants (various plant pollens), chemicals (skin care products, toiletries, cleaning agents, etc.), synthetic fiber products, animal leather and feathers

(3) Pathological factors: viral or bacterial infection, pinworms

(4) Environmental factors: sunlight exposure, high temperature or cold, improper clothing

The above factors can stimulate the recurrence or aggravation of eczema, so more attention should be paid to avoid aggravating allergic eczema in children.
