What should I do if my baby suddenly vomits?

Some babies experience vomiting, which seriously affects the baby's physical health. Therefore, if the child has the above problems, it is necessary to pay attention to timely examinations to ensure the health of the body and avoid the situation where the child suffers from certain diseases but does not receive timely treatment. So what should I do if the baby suddenly vomits? Let me introduce it to you below.

If the baby eats too much, it can cause sudden vomiting. Parents should not panic at this time. They can give the baby some warm water to rinse his mouth. Drinking some water can temporarily suppress your baby's vomiting.

Then parents can gently stroke the baby's neck from top to bottom to the stomach with their palms, which can temporarily relieve the baby's vomiting symptoms.

If the baby is vomiting due to catching a cold, you should take timely measures to keep the baby's abdomen warm, such as using a hot water bottle, and then give the baby some stomach-warming ginger water.

When your baby is vomiting, don't feed him too much food. You can temporarily give him millet porridge to prevent him from eating too much and then vomiting.

If the baby vomits severely, you should give the baby some antiemetics. Try to see a pediatrician and get the medicine.

Newborns are more prone to vomiting than children. The common causes and clinical manifestations of vomiting in newborns are different from those in children of other age groups, mainly due to the characteristics of newborns:

① The esophagus of newborns is relatively loose, the stomach capacity is small and horizontal, the pyloric sphincter is well developed but the cardiac sphincter is poorly developed, the neural regulation function of intestinal peristalsis is poor, and the abdominal cavity pressure is high, etc., are all anatomical and physiological reasons why newborns are prone to vomiting;

② Abnormal differentiation and development of various organs during the embryonic period, especially abnormalities of the fore, mid and hind intestines, can easily cause malformations of the digestive tract, so that the ingested food or digestive tract secretions cannot pass through the intestines smoothly, and are discharged from the mouth in a retrograde manner, resulting in vomiting;

③ Stimulation during fetal birth, such as swallowing a large amount of amniotic fluid and blood, as well as the rapid changes in the internal and external environment after birth, can also easily induce vomiting in newborns;

④ The vomiting center of newborns is not fully developed

The above is my opinion on this issue. If the child suffers from the above problems, it is necessary to pay attention to take appropriate treatment methods in time. This will ensure the child's health and avoid danger to the child due to vomiting. Finally, I wish the child a speedy recovery.
