Ribomycin is a relatively common drug and is also a drug that can treat diseases caused by various viral infections. The indications of ribosomycin are very wide. Children can also take ribosomycin, but they must take the medicine under the guidance of a doctor. Of course, there are many precautions when using ribostamycin. Below, I will introduce to you the precautions for taking ribostamycin. 1. Patients who are allergic to an aminoglycoside antibiotic such as streptomycin, gentamicin, amikacin, etc. may also be allergic to injectable ribosomycin sulfate. 2. During medication, the following checks should be performed: (1) Urinalysis and renal function to prevent severe nephrotoxic reactions. (2) Hearing test or electroauditogram, especially high-frequency audiometry, which is particularly important for the elderly. 3. Ribomycin Sulfate for Injection should be used with caution in the following situations: (1) Water loss can increase blood drug concentration and increase the possibility of toxic reactions. (2) Damage to the 8th cranial nerve, as injection of ribosomycin sulfate can cause damage to the auditory nerve and vestibular function. (3) Myasthenia gravis or Parkinson's disease, because injection of ribosomal sulfate can cause neuromuscular blockade, leading to skeletal muscle weakness. (4) Patients with impaired renal function, as injection of ribosomycin sulfate may cause nephrotoxicity. 4. When aminoglycosides are mixed with β-lactams (cephalosporins and penicillins), they may inactivate each other. When Ribomycin Sulfate for Injection is used in combination with the above-mentioned antibiotics, it must be injected in separate bottles. Ribomycin sulfate for injection should not be injected in the same bottle with other drugs. 5. Ribomycin sulfate for injection is only for intramuscular injection, and the course of treatment should not exceed 14 days. 6. For patients with renal insufficiency, the dosage should be adjusted according to the creatinine clearance. The creatinine clearance can be directly measured or calculated from the patient's serum creatinine value according to the following formula: Creatinine clearance for adult males = (140-age) × standard body weight (kg) / (72 × patient's serum creatinine concentration (mg/dl)) or (140-age) × standard body weight (kg) / (50 × patient's serum creatinine concentration (μmol/L)); Creatinine clearance for adult females = (140-age) × standard body weight (kg) × 0, 85 / (72 × patient's serum creatinine concentration (mg/dl)) or (140-age) × standard body weight (kg) × 0, 85 / (50 × patient's serum creatinine concentration (μmol/L)). |
