How to care for a child's anal redness and pain

Taking care of children is a difficult and careful task. In many cases, especially when they are still young and cannot express themselves very well, parents should pay more attention to and observe all the situations of their children. Redness and pain in the anus is a relatively common disease in children. If you find that your child has this condition, you must provide timely care to prevent the situation from becoming more serious. Now let’s talk about the care methods for redness and pain in the anus in children.

1. Method 1

Apply erythromycin eye ointment or cream. When applying the medicine topically, be careful not to move the cotton swab up and down to avoid aggravating the child's pain or even causing peeling. Instead, use a rolling application method. Or you can use your fingertips to gently rub the ointment evenly and massage the baby's buttocks at the same time.

2. Method 2

After applying the ointment, apply some talcum powder on the baby. It is effective and can make the baby feel drier. Be careful not to rub talcum powder around the baby's urethra to avoid causing discomfort. Don't use too much each time, just rub some evenly around the anus.

3. Method 3

Apply heat with a hot towel. Soak the towel in hot water for a while, wring it dry and apply it around the baby's anus when it is no longer hot. Apply it for about 5 minutes. Do hot compress 3-5 times a day for a week and the redness and swelling of the baby's anus will be significantly reduced.

4. Method 4

Wash your baby's bottom often. The baby's anus is red and uncomfortable, so you should clean the baby's buttocks in time, especially after defecation. Remember to use warm water and wash from the urethra to the anus to avoid infection. After washing, it is best to let it dry for a while and then wipe it clean with a clean cotton mesh cloth.

5. Method 5

Switch to diapers that are more breathable or absorbent, or use them as little as possible. Pure cotton diapers can be used instead, which are less irritating to baby's skin.
