Parents should take care of children with low immunity

Many children are prone to symptoms of low immunity because they have not yet developed well, especially in winter when immunity is most easily damaged and can catch a cold if not paid attention to. Children with low immunity are prone to illness, inflammation, and pneumonia. As parents, we must regulate and improve their condition through reasonable and appropriate methods.

How to treat low immunity in babies

1. Breast milk is the best diet to enhance your baby's immunity

Studies have found that breastfed children are less likely to develop diseases such as meningitis and pneumonia than non-breastfed babies. Moreover, children who are breastfed for more than 4 months are relatively less likely to develop childhood cancer. This is because breast milk is rich in immune-boosting substances. In the first four days of breastfeeding alone, your baby will acquire 4 billion white blood cells to help the immune system work. They also acquire T cells and immunoglobulin A, which build up a barrier against bacteria in the throat and intestines.

Experts recommend that babies should be fed exclusively with breast milk for the first six months after birth, and then continue to be breastfed while adding complementary foods until the baby is one year old. It doesn't matter how much milk a mother has, as long as it is breast milk.

2. Enhance your baby's immunity, you need food to help

Vitamins and minerals are essential for the healthy growth of babies, but our bodies do not produce other nutrients except vitamin D and vitamin K, so other nutrients must be obtained from food. Therefore, parents should cultivate good eating habits for their babies so that they are not partial or picky eaters.

1. Foods rich in vitamin A include sweet potatoes, apricots, etc.

2. Diets rich in vitamin C include fruits such as kiwi and cantaloupe.

3. Diets rich in vitamin E include: green vegetables such as spinach.

All grains, such as oats and barley, contain a variety of minerals.
