What are the effective methods for treating athlete's foot in children?

Athlete's foot is not just a disease exclusive to adults. It is also very common on the feet of young children. It is more difficult to cure athlete's foot in children because children have faster metabolism and their active nature makes it easier for sweat to accumulate on their feet. What are the effective methods for treating athlete's foot in children? Let’s take a look at the explanation below.

There are three types of processing methods:

1. Erosive type: first soak in 1:5000 potassium permanganate solution or 0.1% revulol solution, then apply gentian violet or athlete's foot powder externally, twice a day, and after drying, apply terbinafine hydrochloride or Lamisil externally, twice a day.

2. Blister type: Soak your feet in hot water and apply terbinafine hydrochloride or compound salicylic acid tincture once a day. After the skin is dry, apply Lanmeishu cream, etc.

3. Keratotic type: You can use compound benzoic acid cream externally or apply it alternately with compound salicylic acid alcohol, once in the morning and once in the evening. It is best to wrap the area with plastic film after applying the medicine so that the medicine can penetrate into the thick skin and facilitate peeling off the thick skin.

4. Milder type: In recent years, the clinical application of white vinegar foot soaking has been effective in removing foot odor. It has a significant effect. Soaking your feet once a night will be effective after 3 times.

Diet therapy:

1. Diet therapy can play a positive preventive role in beriberi. Pay attention to a reasonable diet and don’t eat only staple foods without vegetables.

2. Vegetables, peanuts and lean meat contain more vitamin B1. Don't just eat refined rice and flour, eat some whole grains appropriately, because whole grains contain much richer vitamin B1 than refined rice and flour.

3. People who are losing weight or dieting must pay attention to the amount of food they eat and the combination of food. However, diet therapy is only a general treatment. If you actively treat beriberi, you should also supplement with vitamin B1 tablets and symptomatic treatment in time.

4. When choosing drug treatment, different drugs should be selected according to the different types of rash.
