One year old baby food intake

The healthy growth of the baby is very important to every parent. During the growth process of a one-year-old baby, it is usually very important to supplement nutrition, especially three meals a day need to be nutritionally balanced, so that the baby can grow up healthily. Some parents often cannot grasp the right amount when feeding their babies, and the baby is often very full, which will cause indigestion for the baby over time.

What is the standard amount of food for a one-year-old baby?

1. Breakfast: Around 8 or 9 in the morning, the baby starts to eat breakfast. Generally speaking, babies drink a bowl of millet porridge or rice porridge or multi-grain porridge. It does not need to be changed every day, but can be changed every three to five days.

2. Lunch: The baby will have lunch at around 12 o'clock, because the baby will take a nap around 1 o'clock in the afternoon, so lunch must be eaten at this time. Usually, they will eat 50g of steamed minced meat made of pork or beef, or steamed yellow wax with the same amount of rice porridge in the morning. Occasionally, minced meat will be used to make meatball soup, so that the baby can eat vegetarian dishes. One or two days a week, your baby will not eat meat, but will eat only vegetarian food and enjoy it.

3. Dinner: It has to be said that dinner is the best meal of the day. Generally speaking, only half or two-thirds of the meat is eaten at noon, and the rest is dinner. There is also a bowl of porridge because the baby is still young and porridge is easier to digest. Dinner is usually served between 5 and 6 o'clock.

4. Before going to bed: After stopping drinking milk, the baby will also eat a meal before going to bed. Usually it's milk powder, rice noodles or a bowl of noodles. The bedtime meal is usually scheduled around 9:30. Because the baby's sleeping time is 10:30.

5. Between meals: Between breakfast and lunch, the baby only needs to eat half an apple or banana; between lunch and dinner, you can choose to let the baby eat the remaining half of the apple, or drink yogurt within 200 grams, but dairy products will still be added to a greater or lesser extent.

What should I do if my 1-year-old baby doesn’t like to eat?

1. Develop good dining habits. Feed your baby at regular times and in regular amounts, reduce snacks and desserts between meals, and cultivate the habit of not being picky or partial in eating. Don't play with your baby while eating, and don't let your baby watch TV while eating, as this will affect his gastrointestinal motility and the secretion of the digestive glands, which may cause indigestion.

2. Appropriately change the cooking method of meals. If a baby doesn’t like to eat, it may be because of this food or this cooking method, so parents should take the time to change the cooking method. At the same time, they should pay attention to not making the cooking method too greasy, otherwise, the greasiness will affect the baby’s digestive function over time, and then cause anorexia. It is worth noting that the diet should be balanced, with light foods as the main component (such as rice, noodles, eggs, vegetables, etc.) and fatty foods as the supplement.

3. Only with proper exercise can you eat well. Before meals, parents can take their babies to the park to play for a while, do some exercise, and consume body calories, which can increase their appetite.

4. Take some appetite stimulants appropriately. For babies who are often unwilling to eat, you can let them take some appetite stimulants to regulate the spleen and stomach and promote digestion and absorption. However, they must be taken under the doctor's instructions and should avoid abusing health supplements.
