Why does my child's farts smell so bad?

Whether a child's farts are normal or not also has certain predictive significance for the baby's health. For example, if the baby's farts are particularly smelly, it may be caused by indigestion. Indigestion, as a relatively common disease, can have a great impact on the baby's health. Massage is a very good way to treat indigestion in children. Next, I will introduce to you the massage methods for children’s indigestion.

1. Press and knead the four horizontal lines

The Sihengwen acupoint is located in the palm of your hand, at the first transverse line of the interphalangeal joints of the four fingers except the thumb. Parents can choose to massage or push the four horizontal points. When massaging, hold the baby's hand with your left hand, palm facing up, and massage the acupoints one by one with the fingertips of your right hand for 2 to 3 minutes. When using the pushing technique, the parent first holds the child's four fingers together, and uses the thumb of the right hand to push from the horizontal line of the index finger to the horizontal line of the little finger. Repeat about 50 to 100 times. This massage technique can regulate Qi and blood and relieve bloating.

2. Press and knead the Tui Ban Men acupoint

Banmen acupoint refers to the acupoint located on the thenar eminence of the palm, and the thenar eminence refers to the bulge that can be clearly seen with the naked eye from the base of the thumb to the wrist when the palm is spread out. Hold the baby's fingers in your left hand, lubricate them with your right hand and massage the acupoints. There are various methods for massaging the Banmen acupoint. Parents can choose to massage it clockwise or counterclockwise for 2 to 3 minutes. If you use the pushing method, pushing from the thumb to the transverse line of the wrist can stop diarrhea, and vice versa can stop vomiting. Pushing the acupoints back and forth repeatedly can strengthen the spleen and stomach, and repeat about 50 to 100 times.

3. Push the spleen meridian points

The spleen meridian point is located on the radial side of the thumb. Use the middle finger and ring finger of the left hand to fix the baby's four fingers except the thumb, and use the thumb and middle finger to fix the thumb. Lubricate the acupoint with the right hand and push directly on it. It should be noted that when pushing the spleen meridian points, one should only push from the fingertips to the base of the finger, and repeat this about 50 to 100 times, and not in the opposite direction. It has the effect of harmonizing and strengthening the stomach and intestines.

4. Massage the palms

When massaging, hold the baby's fingers in your left hand and lubricate the palm of your right hand and massage it. Parents can choose to do it clockwise or counterclockwise, and repeat it about 50 to 100 times.

5. Abdominal massage

The baby needs to lie flat during the massage. Parents cover the child's abdomen with their right fingers or palm and draw a circle with the navel as the center. If the baby's stool is dry, you need to use a clockwise direction, otherwise, you need to use a counterclockwise direction. Normally, the number of clockwise and counterclockwise massages is half and half, and the total number of massages is usually 50 to 100 times. It should be noted that the palms should be warm and the strength should be moderate during massage. This massage method can regulate the spleen and stomach.
