How to treat baby stye

How to treat baby stye

Stye, also known as sty, is mainly an acute suppurative inflammation caused by the sebaceous glands of the eyelash follicles. It has a great impact on the patient's eye function. So how to treat baby stye?

1. Surgery

Generally, when inflammation is under control, pus can be drained by incision after it accumulates and forms a wave-like feeling, and necrotic or granulation tissue can be properly cleaned. Depending on the situation, placement of a drainage strip can be considered. After the inflammation subsides, if there is still residual granulation tissue or nodules left, surgical removal can be performed again.

2. Medication

The main drug for treating stye is the formula that can be used during infusion treatment: 4 vials of cefoperazone sodium and sulbactam sodium + 2 bottles of levofloxacin, which can cure the disease within 24 hours. Levofloxacin and sulbactam sodium have broad-spectrum bactericidal ability and can kill many bacteria. It should be noted that therapeutic drugs must be used under the guidance of a doctor and should not be abused.

3. Early hot and wet compress

If the patient cooperates well, warm water and hot compress treatment can be used. Hot compress can dilate blood vessels, improve local blood circulation, and is very helpful in promoting the absorption of inflammation and shortening the course of the disease. The method is: soak a clean towel in hot water, wring it dry, and apply it directly to the skin of the affected eye, 2 to 3 times a day, each time for 20 to 30 minutes.
