Can children drink beer?

Although beer contains relatively little alcohol, it is forbidden for children to drink it because beer contains alcohol. Alcohol will have a certain stimulating effect on the human nervous system. If children drink alcohol frequently, it will affect the development of their brain and reproductive system.

1. Drinking alcohol affects children's brain development

The human nervous system is extremely sensitive to alcohol. If children and adolescents drink alcohol frequently, it will affect their brain development, resulting in slow reaction, memory loss, and possibly mental disorders such as insomnia, nightmares, and hallucinations.

2. Drinking alcohol affects the development of the reproductive system in children

When boys drink alcohol, it can cause great damage to the developing testicles. In mild cases, it can slow down their development, and in severe cases, it can cause infertility in adulthood. For girls, alcohol can also affect the development of gonads and cause endocrine disorders. When puberty arrives, they are prone to menstrual irregularities, menstrual edema, dysmenorrhea, headaches and other phenomena.

3. Drinking alcohol can hinder children’s physical growth and development

Children are in the growth stage, and their organs are not yet fully developed. Alcohol will delay and hinder their normal physical development. Children who drink alcohol regularly will have their maturity delayed by 2-3 years.

4. Drinking alcohol damages liver function in children

The irritation of alcohol in wine is most harmful to the liver and stomach. When children drink alcohol, it will damage their liver function and cause indigestion. Drinking alcohol will also reduce children's immunity, making them more susceptible to colds, pneumonia and other diseases.

5. Children are more likely to get sick if they drink alcohol

Because children's organs are relatively delicate and cannot withstand the stimulation and toxicity of alcohol, they are prone to gastritis, gastric ulcers, fatty liver, diabetes and acute pancreatitis.
