How to deal with a 9-year-old child wetting the bed

Normally, a 9-year-old child can already control his or her urination, but there are still children who wet the bed at the age of 9. Many parents don’t know what to do with the bed-wetting problem in their 9-year-old children. This is a type of enuresis that needs to be controlled with medication.

A 1.9-year-old child who wets the bed has enuresis. Parents must pay attention to this and give the child early treatment. Children will generally stop wetting the bed at night after they are 2-3 years old. Under normal circumstances, they will sleep all night without being disturbed, or they may drink too much water at night and occasionally ask adults to urinate. So if a child is over 4 years old and still wets the bed at night, he is sick. Bedwetting usually has causes, and it is necessary to distinguish between functional and organic diseases. Functional diseases can be completely cured with medication, while the causes of organic diseases must be found out in time, and the disease that does not cause bedwetting must be cured before the bedwetting symptoms can be cured. However, organic diseases are uncommon, and functional enuresis is more common.

2. You can start from nourishing the kidneys and brain, regulating the spleen and stomach, promoting the recovery of bladder function, and unblocking the nutritional nerves to comprehensively regulate the body and unblock the urinary nerve center meridians between the brain and bladder. It can promote the early formation of the brain's urinary reflex channel. It can nourish the brain, improve intelligence, refresh the mind, strengthen the kidneys and produce marrow to stop nocturnal enuresis; it can promote the development of brain nerve cells by nourishing and activating them, deeply regulate the urination center in the brain, and improve the brain's sensitivity to urination; it can regulate the contraction and relaxation of the bladder detrusor muscle, expand the bladder capacity, reduce the frequency of urination, and comprehensively treat enuresis (bedwetting) and urinary incontinence in children, teenagers, middle-aged and elderly people, men and women.

3. It is normal to wet the bed occasionally after the age of 3. This is called physiological enuresis in medicine. Most children will not wet the bed at night after the age of 5. If the child still wets the bed at night after the age of 5, and the number of times reaches more than twice a month, it is called "nocturnal enuresis" in medicine. It is recommended to first check whether there is a possibility of occult spina bifida. In addition, be careful not to be too tired during the day, otherwise if you sleep too deeply at night and it is not easy to wake up when you have urine, you will wet the bed. Of course, you should also avoid drinking too much water before going to bed at night. Reduce the amount of urine at night, and it is recommended to buy a timed alarm clock to urinate regularly.
