The causes of mycoplasma infection in children must be known by mothers

Mycoplasma infection in children is a common respiratory disease in infants and young children. Its occurrence poses a huge threat to children's health. Therefore, it is particularly important to understand the causes of mycoplasma infection in children and prevent it in time. In fact, mycoplasma infection in children is mainly caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae.

Mycoplasma infection in children is Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection, which refers to acute interstitial pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae. Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection is mainly transmitted through the respiratory tract. Healthy people can become infected by inhaling oral and nasal secretions from patients when they cough or sneeze.

Mycoplasmas are the causative agents of many animal diseases, but among them, only Mycoplasma pneumoniae is definitely pathogenic to humans. It is a sporadic and small-epidemic respiratory infection caused by oral and nasal secretions transmitted through the air, mainly seen in children and adolescents. However, in recent years, it has been found that Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection is not uncommon in adults. Respiratory tract infections include pharyngitis and bronchitis, and a small number of cases involve mycoplasma pneumonia, which accounts for more than one-third of non-bacterial pneumonia.

Mycoplasma infection in children can be found in respiratory secretions 2 to 3 days before onset and even several weeks after recovery. It is transmitted through contact, grows between ciliated epithelium without invading the lung parenchyma, has neuraminic acid receptors on its cell membrane, can adsorb to the surface of the host's respiratory epithelial cells to inhibit ciliary activity and destroy epithelial cells, and at the same time produces hydrogen peroxide to further cause local tissue damage.

The above are the more common causes of mycoplasma infection in children.
