The survival rate of premature fetuses 7 months early, the following six points will tell you

Babies born seven months prematurely with good medical conditions can generally survive. The weight should be over 3 kilograms. Some premature twins may find it difficult to weigh more than 3 kilograms, which will be more troublesome. You must choose a large hospital with good equipment to ensure safety.

1. The premature baby's skin is thinner and more tender, its tissues contain more water, it has sunken indentations, it is red in color, it has less subcutaneous fat and muscles, and its nails are short and soft. At the same time, the lanugo on the trunk is longer and the hair on the head is less and shorter. The head is larger, the fontanelle is wider, the ear shells are flat and soft and close to the skull, the chest cage is soft, the areola is dot-shaped with no protruding edges, and the mammary glands are small or cannot be felt. The abdomen is bloated and the scrotum is poorly developed. The testicles of premature male infants are often located in the external groin and gradually descend into the scrotum during development. The more premature a woman gives birth, the more her labia minora will be separated and protruding. There are fewer wrinkles on the soles of the hands and feet.

2. Body temperature regulation: difficult and unstable, the use of its heat production function is limited, there are few muscles, low tension, and it is impossible to change posture to reduce the area of heat loss. On the other hand, due to the immature development of sweat glands and incomplete sweating function, high body temperature is also prone to occur.

3. Weak resistance: The resistance to various infections is extremely weak, and even a minor infection can lead to serious consequences such as sepsis.

4. Premature babies have fast and shallow breathing , and often have irregular intermittent breathing or respiratory arrest. The cry is very soft and cyanosis is common.

5. Premature infants have weak sucking and swallowing abilities , and their pyloric sphincter is relaxed, which can easily lead to choking, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal distension.

6. When there is trauma, hypoxia, infection, or coagulation dysfunction , bleeding is often easy and severe. The blood vessels in the brain are particularly susceptible to injury and bleeding. Sometimes unexplained pulmonary hemorrhage may occur.
