What to do if your child has bloating? Abdominal massage

Many babies experience bloating after meals due to immunity problems. This may be due to the imperfect development of the child's digestive system. As for what to do if a child has bloating, it can generally be relieved through abdominal massage to promote intestinal peristalsis.

1. Give your baby abdominal massage

Moderate massage can promote intestinal peristalsis and gas discharge, thereby relieving baby's bloating. Abdominal massage can not only help babies expel waste gas from their stomachs, but also give them a sense of psychological comfort through touch. When massaging, your hands should be warm to keep the baby's belly button warm. Also, the force should be moderate, otherwise it may make your baby feel uncomfortable.

2. Lying down and riding a bicycle

Lay your baby on his back on the bed, lift his legs, and imitate the "bicycle" movement in the air. This action is actually beneficial to the squeezing of the baby's abdominal cavity and intestines. The baby's thighs curl up and stretch, which is equivalent to doing "gymnastics" for the intestines. There is another benefit to "bicycling" while lying down: since the air goes up, when the baby's buttocks are lifted up, the air will naturally go up and out of the anus; if it goes down, the gas in the intestine will not go up, which will easily cause vomiting of milk.

3. Hot towel compress

Using a hot towel to warm your baby's belly can help your baby's gastrointestinal motility and promote the absorption and discharge of air by the stomach and intestines. Be careful not to make the towel too hot; it should be slightly warm. Too hot may scald the baby, while too cold will have no effect.

4. Simple medicine

Babies have abdominal distension and pain because they are too young and their gastrointestinal digestive ability is too weak. You can give your baby some "Mommy Love" or "Lactase" according to the doctor's advice to regulate the baby's gastrointestinal tract and help him digest.

5. Seek medical attention immediately for abnormal bloating

If the baby's belly is swollen and hard, and the baby looks very uncomfortable, and is usually vomiting or wheezing, it is even worse. You should pay special attention and take the baby to the doctor as soon as possible.
